In Europe, with coffee they put out both cold and hot cream to use with coffee. Theory is that the hot cream won't cool down your coffee. For me, I like adding the cold cream. Would you use hot cream if it were available?
I rarely put anything in my coffee but when I do add milk or cream I either steam it or microwave it first.
Have you tried Bulletproof Coffee? My wife and I have been drinking this every morning for over a year now since we went on a low-carb/high fat (ketogenic) diet. I drink a large mug first thing and don't even think about food for 5-6 hours. Two things that I noticed quickly after we started this: (1) my energy is off the charts, and (2) greater mental clarity. - Brew coffee as normal - Pour coffee into blender - Add coconut oil - Add good quality butter (grass-fed is best, we use Kerrygold) - Add a little vanilla for flavor (optional) -- or some honey - Blend it The butter and coconut oil provide quality fats for energy (maybe best if you are also doing very low carb). Coconut oil has MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) which are easily metabolized by the body for energy. Fat is good. Carbs not so much.
I like to make coffee and add condensed milk instead of cream... so good... Also a scoop of vanilla ice cream is so good for a nice, cold, coffee drink.
