TCU (17-11; 9-8) comes to Austin for the final Big 12 game for them and Texas (19-9; 8-9). A win for Texas would result in at least a tie with TCU at 9-9. TCU comes into Austin on a four game Big 12 road game losing streak. Texas has a two game home game winning streak. With a win, Texas is playing for either a 5th or 6th seed depending how OSU and ISU fare. With a loss, Horns could drop down to 7th if WVU wins at KSU. Texas is seeking a split this year after dropping the game at Fort Worth 64-59. This would be the second year in a row that the two have split their games with the home team winning. Former Texas great Edwina Brown comes home for a visit—she is an assistant coach at TCU. This is Senior Day for Nneka Enemkpali and Krystle Henderson plus any managers/trainers that are also graduating in March.

TCU brings the third ranked scoring offense to Austin. They are led by four players averaging double digits. Zhana Medley (# 14, 5-6 Jr. G) leads the quartet with 14.4 ppg. Second is Veja Hamilton (# 3, 5-10 Jr. G/F) at 13.2 ppg. Chelsea Prince (# 4, 5-11 Sr. F) adds 11.1 ppg. Natalie Ventress (# 24, 5-10 Sr. G) averages 10.6 ppg. Donielle Breaux (# 33, 5-10 Sr. G), a transfer from Kansas, is the leading bench scorer at 6.3 ppg.

Medley (82-188; 43.6%), Hamilton (102-200; 51.0%); Prince (69-154; 44.8%); Ventress (63-151; 41.7%) and Breaux (40-117; 34.2%) are the main shooters for TCU. Medley (34-90; 37.8%), Ventress (35-75; 46.7%) and Prince (22-63; 34.9%) are the main 3pt threats for the Horned Frogs. Breaux (10-40; 25.0%), Jada Butts (# 15, 5-10 Soph. G/F; 8-24, 33.3%) and AJ Alix (# 23, 5-6 RS Fr. G; 10-22, 45.5%) are other threats from BTA. Medley (46-55; 83.6%) and Prince (28-35; 80.0%) are the leaders in getting to the FT line. They also have the top two FT%s on the team.

Prince (5.7 rpg) and Hamilton (4.9 rpg) are the leading rebounders. Medley with 4.6 apg tops the Frogs. Prince averages 2.2 apg with Ventress (1.9 apg) and Breaux (1.8 apg) third and fourth in assists. Klara Bradshaw (# 13, 6-6 Soph. C) has 18 blocks to top TCU. Prince with 13 blocks is second. Prince has 58 steals, tops in the Big 12 by almost one steal a game. Five others have between 16 and 26 steals in conference play.

Ventress (33.9 mpg), Prince (33.5 mpg), Medley (31.8 mpg) and Hamilton (29.0 mpg) are the four that stay on the floor the most. Four others average double digit minutes. Six players have played in all 17 league games. Three others have played in 15-16 games. Aiche Ndao (# 45, 6-3 Jr. F) has played in six games, starting four, including the last game.

Hamilton, Prince, Medley and Ventress joined Ndao in starting that game. Prince and Ventress have started all 17 league games while Hamilton and Medley have 16 starts.

Ariel is the leading scorer for Texas at 10.7 ppg. Imani (9.7 ppg) and Kelsey (9.1 ppg) are the top scorers for the Horns. Ariel (49-134; 36.6%), Imani (63-117; 53.8%), Kelsey (68-131; 51.9%), Brooke (46-125; 36.8%), Brady (42-132; 31.8%) and Empress (33-111; 29.7%) are the main shooters for Texas. From BTA, Ariel (9-34; 26.5%), Brooke (21-60; 35.0%), Brady (19-64; 29.7%) and Krystle (8-33; 24.2%) provide the main threats. Imani (39-54; 72.2%) and Ariel (32-39; 82.1%) are the best at getting to the FT line while Brooke (24-28; 85.7%) is the best from there.

Imani (6.9 rpg) and Kelsey (6.2 rpg) are the top rebounders on the team with five others averaging 3 plus rpg. Brady has the top average in assists with a 3.0 apg. Empress is second at 2.7 apg. Four others average 1.1 or more apg. Brooke and Brady are tied for the lead in steals with 14 each. Imani has 13 with Ariel and Kelsey tied at 12 steals. Krystle is the sixth player with double digit steals with 11. Imani and Kelsey are the leading shot blockers with 34 and 25, respectively.

Ariel, Brooke, Brady, Kelsey and Brianna started the last game. This would be the sixth straight game this lineup has started if it remains the same. Brady tops the team with an average of 32.5 mpg. Ariel, Brooke, Kelsey and Empress all average more than 25 mpg. Imani, Brianna, Krystle and Celina all average in the teens.

Projected starters based on the last game:
    Texas____________________TCU
    Brianna (5-9 Soph. G)____Hamilton (5-10 Jr. G/F)
    Kelsey (6-5 Soph. C)_____Ndao (6-3 Jr. F)
    Brady (5-11 RS Jr. G)____Prince (5-11 Sr. F)
    Brooke (5-4 Fr. G)______Medley (5-6 Jr. G)
    Ariel (5-11 Fr. G)_______Ventress (5-10 Sr. G)

Horns will need to take care of the ball. TCU will try to match or exceed the 25 TOs they forced in the first game. Imani (10-16) and Kelsey (6-12) were in double figures scoring while Ariel was 8-9 at the FT line to reach double figures although she had a poor shooting day at 2-12. TCU went with a five guard lineup but has recently started 6-3 Ndao. 6-6 Bradshaw also will see plenty of action and could be on the court at the same time, especially if Texas goes with Imani and Kelsey together.

Stats are Big 12 stats only.

TCU will shoot the three a lot. Their guards all can pass the ball and find the open player often. Texas will go inside where they had so much success in the first game. This game is important to both teams as TCU could end up in third and Texas could be as low as 7th , depending on how the rest of the games play out.

Hopefully, we will see one of the biggest crowds this season to send Nneka and Krystle off in style.

I think we are either 6 or 7. The difference would be playing Friday or Saturday.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the team bounces back after their collapse Sunday. I think Texas wins this one on senior night but they're so unpredictable I certainly wouldn't put money on it. So sad to say goodbye to Nneka. She's one of the fiercest warriors I can ever remember wearing a Texas uniform. I wish fans would fill up the Club Erwin to bid farewell to such a class act and outstanding player. One of my favorites of all time.

A win would mean a first round bye, and turning around and facing TCU again as the 6 seed in the tournament. And thats much better than having to take on TTU Friday and then BU on Saturday

Winning is important on so many levels; it actually makes us tied for third place in the Big 12 standings with TCU, OSU, and ISU, even though we lose all the tie-breakers.

If we lose to TCU, and KSU beats WVU, then we still get the #6 seed and face #3 TCU. But, we truly finish #6 in the conference, and the loss hurts in the NCAA seedings.

25 point lead with 8 mins left! You don't see many blowouts like this in the Big12....LOVE it!

While I thought we should have easily built a 15-20 point early in the first half, the team kept fighting, especially early in the second half.

With 5 minutes left in the game, we need to put our best players on the bench. No need to sustain any kind of injuries. Put in Hattis and rest Kelsey. Brooke, Ariel, and Brianna also shouldn't be put at risk to any fluke injury.

    Congrats to the seniors.

So, although this is Brady's fourth season at Texas, I assume since she was not celebrated tonight that she will return next year for her redshirt senior season.

Wow, 34 pt win....subs actually built on our lead. Fantastic way to finish the season....3rd in conference, and winning 5 of our last 6. And already at 20 wins before Big12 tourney and NCAA play. We also have the second best overall record among league teams. Great job Horns!!

Definitely glad we tied for 3rd rather than came in 6th place.

Hope we can repeat tonight's effort on Saturday in Dallas against TCU. I honestly don't think they are in the NCAA tourney unless they beat Texas. There could be some upsets in tourneys across the country which cost some teams at-large bids.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. It was the season of exaltation. It was the season of despair. It was an autumn of glory. It was a winter of discontent. It was a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying...a 9-9 record in the Big 12.

Take that second half and play that way for 40 mins every game and the sky is the limit.

Had TCU won, they would have stood alone in 3rd place. This win was not a given. We earned it.:hookem:

Only 4 turnovers in the second half after nine in the first. Great job Horns! I hope the team can do it again this weekend in Dallas. As Karen said, every player did her job tonight.

There was a two minute or so stretch in the second half where they played lights out. Stealing, blocking, fast-breaking. The crowd went nuts and I swear Imani could have dunked on her break away steal. It's the most fun I've seen this team have all season. If this team had shown up every week we'd be hosting the first and second round of the NCAA tournament. Fun to watch.

Agreed. Imani had the entire place on its feet. Two plays later Brooke gets in on the fun with a monster block. Lang was lights out. Second half was a 49-20 spanking by the Horns.

We absolutely have to bring that game to Dallas. TCU has proven they can beat us otherwise. In the first half they came back from 9 down to within 1. We have to play 40 mins on Saturday or it will be one and done.

    Go Horns!
