Chance to see Lauren Cox and Nancy Mulkey on Friday in the 6A semis with the possibility that their two teams might meet for the 6A title on Saturday.

Skyline 34 Flower Mound 15 at the half. Flower Mound, including Lauren, is ice cold from the field.

Lauren did show off her athletic ability with a block. She fell for a ball fake, jumping up in the air, came down and went right back up to block the shot and then was able to save the ball from going out of bounds and pass it downcourt to a teammate as she fell out of bounds. Had to see it to really appreciate it.

Yes, it was good to see coach Aston and George there. BabHorn what position do you see Cox playing in college, center or pf.

posted that Coach Aston and Coach Washington were there but did it on the Big 12 tournament thread.

Flower Mound falls 61-32. Lauren had 22 pts and I am pretty sure she ended up with a triple double before fouling out with 45 seconds. Simply not enough help from her teammates in this game, unlike in the regional finals against Plano West.

Lauren has very good ballhandling skills. While her shot was not falling from outside in this game, I think she will be able to play both post positions effectively. Now, I wish that will be for the Longhorns but she is going to be an awesome player wherever she decides to go.

forgot that Cy Woods was playing SA Wagner. Wagner has Amber Ramirez, the Ok. State commit. She has four 3s so far.

Man, I wish we could have been able to get Alecia and Ramirez, she's exactly what this team needs.

tied at 38 at the half, Cy Woods and SA Wagner. Mulkey sitting with two fouls for about 6 minutes in the second quarter. Ok. State coaches must be doing backflips over Amber Ramirez's first half performance: 7-9 3pters and 25 pts.

Ramirez came to visit. Saw her with some other recruits at a practice. She is a solidly built 5-9. I had been pulling for her to commit to Texas but she decided on OSU.

An she's not just a catch and shoot 3 point shooter. She shoots it very well off the dribble from 3 with a really quick release.

Cy Woods 79 SA Wagner 60. Both Cy Wood posts, Mulkey and Reese (sp?) had double doubles, I think. Mulkey is a bit thin but very long. She is also pretty quick as she cleared the board on one end and was able to get down and score at the other end off an offensive rebound. Reese, a 6-2 freshman, displayed a nice all round post game. A very good post to go with Mulkey.

Skyline won't be able to crowd the paint as they did against Flower Mound. Cy Woods has the guards with the quickness to match up with Skyline. The only question is whether Cy Woods can go the entire game without subs. Cy Woods only subbed when Mulkey picked up her second foul very early in the second half. Her presence really changes the game for Cy Woods. Should be a very good game. Only problem is that it will be at the same time as the Texas-TCU game.

Flower Mound's Lauren Cox had a triple double in her last game for the season: 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. :hookem:
