I'm back and hope that no more of my relatives have funerals anytime soon as there have been way too many for me lately.

Again I was worried about having power and/or internet access as we had another winter storm early this morning. If the cold weather had showed up sooner we could have had over a foot of snow here in northeast Texas as we got over an inch of rain before it changed over to snow. We settled for four inches of the white stuff and more snow ice cream was made. This is unusual for this late in winter.

Back to baseball, I'm almost glad I missed the double dip against San Diego. That was a real head scratcher against a not so good team.

So tonight the Horns look to bounce back against Stanford in what has become a regular series between two baseball powers. Chad Hollingsworth will start for Texas on mound tonight. Going after the starting lineup now.

Also I think the game will be streamed by Stanford as part of the Pac 12 Network. You may have to have a television provider that broadcasts the Pac 12 Network channel.

As I said click live stream/live event and see if you can get in. You may have to have a television provider that carries Pac 12 Network to get in.

Ok, I put the video over on my big screen tv. If I remember, Stanford for some reason had a pretty bad set up for their stream, I hope it's gotten better. Wish they would put up a Stanford lineup. I know a freshman is starting for Stanford
    on the hill.

Keith Wisenberg, a 6' 5" right hander is on the mound for Stanford.

Johnson leads off and plays left batting right handed.
Johnson reaches with a liner over the third baseman for a single.

Shaw bats lefty with one on.
He lays down the bunt for a 1-3 sac.

Hinojosa bats righty with one down and Johnson at second.
Nice to hear Craig Way in the backround also.
C.J. stays in a slump with a K looking for two away.

Barrera up from the right side with two down trying to give the Horns an early lead.
A nubber back to the hill won't get it done and that retires the side 1-3.

Nothing for Texas and Stanford comes in to swing.

Stanford pitcher looked a little up and down on his pitches the first inning.

Let's hope he stays more fuzzy than sharp.

Chad Hollingsworth on the hill for Texas and the right handed pitcher looks to keep his starting pitching career successful.

Tommy Edman bats from the lefty side and plays second.
He lines to second for one down.

Branton bats righty and plays second for the Cardinal.
He grounds to Marlow and the 4-3 out is two away.

Winaker plays first and bats lefty.
He grounds out 3-1 as Hollingsworth covers to retire the side in order.

One played and nobody has scratched.

Keith Weisenberg back on the mound for Stanford.

Marlow leads off for the Horns in their half of the second.'
Marlow swings through a fast ball for one away on the K.

Boswell steps in lefty with one down.
The count runs full and another fast ball is cut on and missed for two down.

Cantu bats righty with two gone.
A fly ball to right retires the Horns in order.

Nothing for Texas again and Stanford tries to put something on the board in the bottom of the second.

Hollingsworth returns for his second inning of work for Texas.

Left fielder Alex Dunlap leads off for Stanford from the right side.
He lines one to the gap in right center and though Gurwitz cuts it off it's a lead double.

The third baseman Mike Dekroeger bats from the left side with a man on.
He drives one to right that goes under the wall and it's a ground rule double that scores a run.

    Stanford leads 1-0.

Locher, the center fielder bats with a man at second.
He lays down a bunt that goes for a sac 1-3.

Bar is the DH as he bats for the supposed starter Quantrill for some reason.
He bats right handed with a man on third and one down.
The infield comes in to try and cut off a second run.
The count runs full and he is issued a walk to put two on.

Quin Brody, plays right field and bats lefty with runners on the corners and one away.
Skip decided it's time for a visit and now he goes back.
A fly ball to left is not deep enough to score the run as Johnson's throw is off line, but the runner held.
It's a big out two for Hollingsworth.

Carter, the Cardinal catcher bats righty and the nine hole hitter stands between Chad getting out of the inning.
He pops out to Hinojosa and that retires the side.

Stanford gets on the board, but it could have been worse.
    Stanford leads 1-0 after two.

Weisenberg out for the third for the Cardinal with his newly minted 1-0 lead.

Gurwitz leads off for the Horns in the third, at the bottom of the order.
The count again goes full and a low pitch is ball four for a lead walk.

Taylor Stell is the DH from the right side and bats ninth.
He doesn't bunt and a ground ball to short should have been a DP, but the second baseman couldn't get the ball out of
his glove and Stell beats the relay for a 6-4 force for one away.

Johnson brings the top of the order back for Texas with one down and one on.
A wild pitch goes to the screen to move Stell to second and in scoring position.
Johnson back in and tries to tie the game with another hit as he lead off the game with a line single.
Ben does better than that with a big bang to left that is way out and into the trees for a two run homer.

    Texas leads 2-1.

Shaw bats again with one down and the bases clear.
A ground ball to second is a 4-3 second out.

Two down for Hinojosa still looking to break out of his slump after a K his first trip.
Yet another full count pitch is coming and C.J. still struggles with another swinging K to retire the side.

Ben Johnson puts Texas to the lead with his bomb and bottom of three Texas ahead now 2-1.

This is Stanford's listed starting lineup. But as usual, Marques lists someone at Dh that gets PH for at the first plate appearance. i.e. Barr actually is now the DH.

    T.Edman 2B
    B.Branton SS
    M.Winaker 1B
    A.Dunlap LF
    M.Diekroeger 3B
    J.Locher CF
    C.Quantrill DH
    A.Barr PH
    Q.Brodey RF
    B.Carter C

Hollingsworth now pitches with his first lead of the game in the Stanford third.

He faces the lead off hitter again in Edman from the left side.
He walks on four pitches to put the lead man on.

Bo Branton up for the second time with they tying run at first.
The right handed hitter doesn't show bunt and instead grounds a single to left throgh the hole to put two on.

Winaker bats from the left side with runners at first and second.
He also shows no sign of the bunt and a fly ball to center is one away as the runners hold.

Dunlap bats with two on and one down from the right side.
Chad is really struggling with his command and continues to get behind on the count.
A screamer to the gap in left is run down on a good jump by Gurwitz for two away.

Dekroeger up from the left side, has the Stanford rbi with a double his first at bat.
He is up now with two on and two away.
This time he does even better as a deep fly ball to right carries out of ballpark for a three run homer.

    Stanford leads again 4-2.

Locher up with two away and the bases empty.
He grounds to first and the 3U retires the side.

The Texas lead was short lived and Stanford with a three run dinger leads 4-2 after three.

Bases juiced with Horns - 1 out... let's get some runs!!!

Every now and then on this broadcast, I think I hear Craig Way speaking the Horn nation somewhere in the booth.

Crap!! 3rd out with the bases loaded. Wasted opportunity there.

Weisenberg is out again and he now leads again as the Texas fourth begins.

Barrera leads off and the Horn catcher grounds a single through on the left side for a lead single.

Marlow steps in on the left side with one on.
A 2-0 count brings out the pitching coach.
He brings in the whole infield and then departs.
He takes a four pitch walk to put the tying runs on.

Boswell up to most likely bunt them up.
He tries and is almost hit by an inside pitch.
The count goes 2-1 and then a pop up to shallow left is one down.

Cantu bats with two on and one down.
Another full count and a big pitch in this game comes now.
A ground ball gets through on the left side to load the bases.

Gurwitz bats with one down and the bases loaded with Horns.
Big chance to get back in this one for Zane.
Of course another full count and yet a bigger pitch is delivered and he K's on a fast ball for two down.

Stell bats with two away and the bases loaded and it's up to him if Texas is to tally now.
He swings and misses a fast ball and that retires the side.

Texas really wasted a great chance to have a big inning and as a result Stanford still leads 4-2 to the bottom of four.

Hollingsworth still out there in the fourth.

Bar is the DH leading off for the Cardinal from the right side.
Another blast that goes to left and over the trees for another homer.

Stanford leads 5-2 and Hollingsworth struggling with command of the breaking ball goes to the fast ball and the Stanford hitters are sitting on it and hitting it hard.

Brody bats with the bases empty.
He grounds to second for one down.
Carter bats with one down and K's swinging for two away.

    Edman bats with two down.
He reaches out at an outside pitch and pops one over Boswell and down the line and Johnson comes up firing and Edman just gets in for a double.

Branton bats with one on and two down and fly ball ends the inning.

Stanford adds one on the long homer and leads 5-2 after four.

Weisenburg stays in and looks to become eligible for the win as the Texas fifth starts.

Johnson with two hits already stands in at the top of the order to lead off for the Horns.
A 3-1 fast ball and Ben deposits another baseball over the left field wall for his second homer tonight.

    Stanford leads 5-3.

You wish he could have gotten to bat in the fourth with the bases loaded.

    Shaw up with nobody on.
A 2-0 count and the pitching coach out again and the change is made.
Weisenberg struggled, but Texas let him off the hook last inning.

    Pitching change.
