Just heard on 104.9 The Horn that Myles Turner is making himself eligible for the NBA draft.

If there was any chance he'd stay, losing Barnes made his decision easier

Hate to say it, but I do not know that much good came out of his one season for Turner or Texas. Hopefully, he will be great player and help recruit/work out with the team like Kevin Durant does. Even if he does not want to help the university recruit, simply having another successful NBA player will help future Texas coaches recruit and add to program prestige. I wish Turner all the best in the NBA.

Is he a top NBA prospect? What I saw in the NCAA this year doesn't leave me with breathless excitement about what difference he might make in the Mavs lineup next year. I admit, I'm no basketball scout, but with what I saw of Kevin Durant and LaSalle Thompson at the Erwin Center, I knew they'd be good at the next level.

Compared to other one and dones, Turner is a slow developer. If he lives up to his potential, it will not be right away

Probably be playing in the NBADL next year. Might even see him in Austin again.

I do not know if that will happen, but Kabongo is exhibit A of jumping too early when a player needs time in college to develop.

Last 5 games, he is averaging 19 points and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes of play.

Always knew, he was dripping with NBA talent. Wish we would have made better use of him

Just from that picture, he's spent some time in the wright room and is starting to develop. Sometimes I think some guys just need to eat, sleep and drink basketball, and being able to do that has probably been huge for him.

I think he also shares some responsibility for that.

He's only 21 yrs old, and likely still growing; on top of the conditioning factors you mentioned which I'm sure are right on.
The kid is gifted. Wish him the best.
