Baylor hangs on for a 5-4 win over Tech, that could leave the Raiders at home, for the post season. This means it's Texas with two shots to win what I have dubbed, the "Texas Division," since the four Texas Big 12 teams were all in it. The games are scheduled for tomorrow, at 9 am, with a possible second game, at 4 pm. The bad scenario I speak of, is what happens if the forecast of rain, for both Saturday and Sunday, or just Sunday comes true. A Tournament Champion has to be determined on Sunday, so the Regionals can be scheduled, on Monday. If the Tournament is rained out, before a championed is crowned, the highest remaining seed is awarded the title. That means at this point the only way Texas could be the champion, is if the title game, was between Texas and Kansas State, if that did occur. If Texas made it to the championship game, against OSU or OU and the game can't be played, Texas loses. If the Tournament is rained out at any point, from now on, before a hypothetical KSU vs. Texas game, they lose.
Exactly! Why the hell are the games played in ****** Oklahoma with the rain and tornados? They could be played at Dell instead! Opps!
Hopefully, it does not rain. Something else interesting, we have only played Tech or Baylor this entire month.
These games should have been moved up to the Wed and Thurs scheduling. This afternoon would have been UT-Bu and OSU-?.
It's played there because it is considered a halfway point, for the north and south schools. There is some talk of playing it in Frisco, at some point.
Well, if the tourney does rain out, then it was just not meant to be. At least the Horns will have done us proud in the tourney.
http://blog.mysanantonio.com/big12/...-big-12-baseball-tournament-at-the-alamodome/ San Antonio doesn't want it
None of this would matter if our little darlings had played up to their talent level. This poorly coached team has to beg to get into the ncaa tourney!
OU eliminates KSU 3-1, so it's official. The tournament has to be completed and Texas must win it, to get to a regional.
