A salute and a genuine thank you to all that served. More so we pause, reflect and pay tribute to the hundreds of thousands that were killed or wounded serving our country.:usflag:

Unfortunately, since the Korean and Viet Nam wars, the military has seemed like an attachment of this country because people have gotten accustomed to fight wars where the lives only at stake were those in the military. The military in the last 70 years has given the US citizens the luxury of staying home and disputing whether we should be fighting that war. I can still remember that my father and father-in-law served in World War II and were considered to be fortunate to come out of it alive. Outside of the military, war has changed from being something that we do for our survival to something that is considered that we do to help other countries. Survival means that today we do not have to speak German or Japanese and can today read/watch the news about how we should follow our constitution in this way or the other.

The citizens of this country should be thankful that we have young men now who are volunteering to put their lives on the line in order to preserve our culture.
