Here is where the work pays off, Jon. http://www.mystatesman.com/news/spo...boston-celtics/nmnB4/#a471cda5.3503856.735776
If he had any hint of consistency in his game, he would have been a 1st rounder. That's what's going to keep him on summer league and D-League teams. The sad thing is that there were guys taken in the draft with way worse numbers than Holmes. That's how much GM's trust him.
doing well in Vegas so far. http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4719872/holmes-game-emerging-in-vegas-for-celtics
Holmes a surprise among Celtics Summer Leaguers http://www.csnne.com/boston-celtics...-celtics-summer-leaguers?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo
nice story. Hope he lands on a roster this year. link to his stats in Vegas through the 14th. http://www.nba.com/summerleague/2015/players/sl_jonathan_holmes/index.html
Boston with Jonathan Holmes will take on Portland tonight, July 16, at 9:30 pm on NBATV, Austin TWC 308.
Boston in the quarterfinals today at 3PM vs San Antonio Spurs. On NBATV (Austin TWC 308). I get a chance to watch Jonathan and SA coach Becky Hammon, one of my favorite WNBA players, in her new role as the head coach of the Spurs Vegas summer league team.
From Adam Himmelsbach in the Boston Globe: https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/...tics-summer/Jj3CnaDGvKdAQatgxQBM4J/story.html Hope his play in Vegas leads to a chance to make an NBA roster.
If only he had used the efforts of this summer last year consistently and not just a half here or there.(ok he was injured some) I don't care who the coach is. Basketball players need to play hard and try their hardest when they are on the floor or they will not see the floor much. Start getting cold from the field, start turning the ball over, start letting your man get the offensive rebound, etc, etc, you will not see the court no matter who you are or how you project to the NBA. Players play. Good luck to him in the NBA but not much thanks for last year.
