Well, as long as its all fantasy, I'll fantasize big: a super conference composed of big state schools that travel, and have history (or in the case of aggie, lots of idiot zealot fans): UT, OU, OSU (probably have to to get OU), LSU, UG, Ol Miss, Bama, AU, aggie, Fa, and Arky for old times sake. Arky doesn't bring in that many TVs as most of their fans probably crouch around the radio at Ebb's Garage and Tatoo Parlor, but whatever. One other to round out the 12. Free the big $ makers to make even more $. The leftovers of both conferences can form their own conference. Who doesn't want to tune in for a Vandy/TTU showdown?

The fact of the matter is that the ag's Bowtie recognized that being in the SEC was the smart move (for the next hundred years, Whoop!). Dodds did not. We should have gone with aggy, ou, and osu to the sec in '10. As I understand it, aggy can block us from the sec. I've heard that SC blocks Clemson and Florida blocks FSU from the sec.

The LHN is boring and in the end will cost us more than it ever made us. It pissed off aggy and now it's pissing off the rest of the Big XII, especially OU. If OU bolts for the sec, the Big XII will fold. I don't think that they will because, like us, they sold their soul to the devil to keep the Big XII together back in '10.

I do not now, and never did think that the PAC was a good fit for Texas. An expanded PAC would be spread out over three time zones and the distances for sports like volleyball and baseball are just too great.

Our best hope is that the Big XII survives. As others have stated, there aren't two good expansion candidates out there. I'd add BYU and whomever is the best of the rest. That gets us a championship game and a shot at getting into the playoffs. And, let's be honest, winning the Big XII is way more doable than winning the sec.

BYU would be great, I'm just not sure there's a second school worth getting. Of course, a lot of people said WV/TCU weren't worth getting compared to what we lost, and that's been shown mostly incorrect.

Even though it didn't hurt them. And even as they all still hold to the hypocritical duality that the LHN is a giant failure and that the LHN is a giant unfair benefit for UT.

I agree with adding two additional teams, or find a different conference and go there without all the tagalongs.

I'm in the minority on this one, but I think we should have gone to the B1G when Nebraska did and been done with all the what are we gonna do now stuff that we are dealing with. The B1G was down then, but it's on the way back up and it's not going anywhere.

As much as I like the LHN, I think for the most part it has been a net loser for us. Maybe not financially, but the opportunity costs have been pretty high. Really hard to add it all up.

    My 2 cents.

    SabreHorn,

You said in a lot more words what I was trying to get at.

Why do they keep showing the same 8 or 9 games over and over again? I've only had it since January of this year but there are so many games I'd love to see again. Two in particular are Baylor 94 and Tech 96. I'd rather watch us kick the crap out of UNT or NMST than watch some of the OU and aggie games for the 10th freaking time.
