will be a star mirroring colt mccoy. i think he has those intangibles. Hopefully he'll have some trouble wrestling away the starting position from one of the others. He is a quick decision maker with good tools. I just have a good feeling about him. Now if we can get quality OL to block for him.
Agree completely. He's a baller, he's extremely self-confident yet lacking in arrogance, and he's blessed with six eyes. Dr. Wickenstein and Imoorer are working on it. It'll be a little rough at first, but expect to see real improvement by the 2nd half of the 3rd game. Elite 11 guys discussing Buechele...
Very strong arm and quick release. Good athletic bloodline... Dad is Steve Buechele former Texas Rangers baseball player.
Dad was a third baseman of MLB which means freaking cannon armed.(current bench coach for the Rangers) (dad of UT prospect)Steve(right)with current phenom Gallo.
My thoughts on him exactly. He's a real QB first, then adds impressive mobility. We don't have that "true QB" aspect in the current crop, For the most part they are runners who can play some QB too. Not saying success can't be found with one of them, just that it'll be nice to finally add a true QB to the mix. SB has a lot of the intangibles you desire in a QB...fierce competitor, leader, confidence, nice touch on ball placement, pocket awareness, etc.
Wow. ..usually we wait at least until a qb has graduated from high school before we start proclaiming him ready to start for us. ...
My thoughts exactly. Senior year of HS + Redshirt year + some bench riding = I could be dead before Shane starts a game.
what you say has merit.....but i am allowed to feel good about a prospect at the risk of looking foolish sometime in the future. its fun....and i still feel good about his chances.
Locksley will most likely RS this year unless he shows some shine in fall training. I think he has the talent, but too short of time to be the number 2guy at this point.
Agreed. Locksley is very talented, has a great attitude and is motivated to succeed. He is a coaches son which will give him an edge over a typical incoming recruit IMO, but he will still be a incoming freshman QB with a lot to learn.
