Isaac Nauta ..... IMG Academy (Buford, GA)
5-star
..... TE
..... 6-3/244
..... Georgia
Per Scout:
Nauta is a big, sure handed target who has the speed to stretch a defense and the toughness to catch the ball in traffic. [He] has soft hands for a big man and seems to be a natural ball catcher. He’s a physical presence roaming the secondary, looking for holes in zone coverage. Nauta has a good feel for attacking coverages and runs pretty good routes. Nauta uses his body well to aid in separation.
He doesn’t exactly explode off the line of scrimmage but once he hits a stride or two the big fella gets moving in a hurry. Nauta looks like a versatile tight end that can line up in-line next to the tackle, in the slot, flexed out wide or as an H-back. He really catches the ball well and shows a large catch radius.
Nauta was the most impressive tight end at [The Opening Finals] and looks like he has a real good skill set for today’s passing game. I would have loved to have seen him padded up battling some of the defensive linemen in one on ones.
Per 247Sports:
Isaac Nauta posses a rare combination of size and athleticism at his position. Not often do tight ends receive a fifth star and in this video you can see why he's considered the best tight end in the country.
Per Scout:
Nauta is more of an old-school tight end. A tight end who can stay on the field all three downs. Blocking is something he does well. He can look like an extended offensive lineman at times. Very strong... Has very good hands. Big tight end, but really soft hands that receives the ball well. Can be a real weapon inside the red zone and will be a go-to guy on third downs. Very dependable and has physical and finesse game.
