'ESPN College GameDay announced its Week 1 destination Monday, and the college football preview show will kick off the 2015 season in Arlington, Texas, for the highly-anticipated matchup between Alabama and Wisconsin on Sept. 5." Highly anticipated!? Really? I don't see Wisky having much this year. This should be a Bama cake walk. Ths only thing I "highly anticipate" about that match up is that I won't be watching it.
The insistence of these programs to play in that cavern known as jerryworld is beyond me. Not a college environment. Two quality programs like Bama and Wisky or Texas/UCLA deserve better than to waste a game there. Make it a home and home.
it's a really nice play though and The schools make more money playing there that's why they do it and if we ever play a&m again it will be there because the finacial guarantee will be too great to pass up
Ha you may want to look at how much jerry is paying these schools compared to playing at home. Heck Wisconsin is getting paid like 3 million to play in Green Bay against lsu next season if it was about the recruits why would Wisconsin need to play at lambeau field?
That may be the case but the game won't be played in Austin or college station when it does happen again that is a guarantee
You really think they're expanding their fanbase by more than 5 teenagers? I don't think one game in Texas does much for recruiting. Bama isn't having a hard time getting their name out there. I would also think that a game like Bama-Wisky or Texas - UCLA the coaches would prefer to host a recruit on campus. Hard to get the feel for Tuscaloosa on a Saturday when you're in that dump called Arlington.
