Hornfans Needs Your Support

Hey gang, Dionysus and several others saved this website about 6 months ago. Dionysus is managing it and has been paying out of his own pocket to keep it going.

I have given money and am a HF sponsor and I plan to give more, so I am not asking you to do something I am not willing to do myself. Gawd knows I get far too much pleasure and spend too much time on this website to not give something back.

Please do it today, click on the tab and pledge whatever you can afford - it is easy and will take about 3 - 5 minutes.

I am also a sponsor but I might be willing to give more if I knew how much is needed each month. I trust that my money is used for this site but I would still like to know how much is really needed.

I won't change my monthly amount but I might be willing to give a one time donation occasionally.

 

You might check the tab Dion put up, but I think he said the monthly recurring cost to run the sight is $200. I personally know Dion and he is honest in all his doings. I plan to give a lump sum again and will probably do that from time to time versus monthly.

Of course you could send him a private email from this site and ask him whatever you would like to ask about the cost(s), site, etc.

Is HornsFans registered as a 501(c)(3)? Providing information to those of us who have been exiled from Longhorn Nation is just as important as feeding the hungry and clothing the naked, no?

If not, I'm gonna have to figure out how to justify this as a marketing expense for my law firm.

 

You just did justify it, you marketed your law practice on HF.

MC, I don't know what the issue might have been. I remember there being a problem for a couple people but I just didn't have the time to try and track it down.

 

Maybe we can run a banner ad or something ....

 

OK, I'm in - figured out how to make a one-time donation on my credit card (it took a while - you younger guys have to be a bit patient with us dinosaurs).

Everyone should pitch in a bit - what would we do without Hornfans?

ps. I'm a not-long-ago 15,000+ poster who retired for a bit, restarting. Site looks excellent, and the contributions and exchanges equally so. Hook'em!

I too support with a very modest monthly outlay via PayPal. Its easy, and NOT expensive. How about $5 bucks a month? Seriously, if 50 or so more folks throw down 5 bucks, or hey, even 10 bucks a month, then Hornfans becomes solvent, if I am reading the posts correctly.

No reason why this can't happen. This is a fantastic site, and deserves our support.

but Damn you shouldn't have to operate with just the bare minimum.

The ladies out here at the executive ranch felt obligated to do their part to keep the many patrons at hornfans happy. I mean, without the support of hornfans they may have to look for another line of work. They say thank you!

 

Do you think we could get some of ladies to starting posting on HF and be a sponsor? They could put photos of themselves on their avatar and make new friends!

 

I'm sure the ladies at the VH4L Executive Ranch have a few "tricks" up their sleeve and other places for "raising" money.

I'm sure they would gladly sponsor HF, if more people would sponsor them. You scratch my back or wherever their particular itch might be and they will happily scratch your region of need.

To boost support I think every month sponsors should be in a drawing for a prize. Simple, like a trip to Vegas or something. Just a thought.

 

They kinda like their privacy, but let's see if I can convince one or two to participate.
