Miss. State & Stanford--two home games to look forward to. Opening Big 12 play at WVU is going to be a tough game. Nice to see that the longest away stretch in conference play is only two games. Horns are one of the most experienced and talented teams in the Big 12. I expect them to mount a serious challenge for the league title and make a very deep run in the NCAAs. Approximately six til full team practices start!
Maybe a while until practices but the young women are still working (and retaining their sense of humor): Hmmmm...I wonder what's happening on the 18th important enough to cause the shift?
Thanks for the twitter updates, DFW_Horn. It's fun to read them. Hope they enjoyed their end of summer break.
Do u all go to games often? i should be going to my first game ever next year either in january or february, if i find out when can i ask u all some questions on tickets?
Hi Anna, That is great that you plan to attend a game. I hope that will expand to gameS. I'll be very surprised if people who post here aren't pleased to offer whatever information they can. I have been a season ticket holder for many years. I also sometimes buy individual game tickets for friends. Last year, I bought a couple of the game packs (4 games, I think?). Good seats have been easy to come by. As much as I selfishly enjoy that, I hope for the program's sake that good seats become a bit harder to get!
Thanks for the Information when i know for sure when im going i will post more questions like how much are general admission tickets. I live 8 and a half hours away so its hard for me to attend games but if plans go i plan on going to a game next year.!!
Fox Sports announced the games they'll be televising this season: http://www.texassports.com/news/2015/9/4/WBB_0904155138.aspx?path=wbball I assume a few will be carried on ESPN and the remaining home games will be on LHN.
With Fox Sports and ESPN coming out with their schedules, it leaves the following away games to be picked up although I believe the Big 12 teams will have it on their third tier programming. Which leaves Rice at the only one really still in the air. Might be worth a road trip. 11/21/2015 at Rice 12/6/2015 at Little Rock 12/30/2015 at West Virginia 1/9/2016 at Oklahoma State 1/13/2016 at Kansas 1/20/2016 at TCU 1/30/2016 at Kansas State 2/14/2016 at Oklahoma 2/24/2016 at Texas Tech
LHN announces the games they will televise. No surprises. Still hoping someone will pick up the Arkansas Little Rock and the Rice games. http://www.texassports.com/schedule.aspx?path=wbball
The schedule is also here on the site under the Schedules tab. hornfans.com/schedules/womens-basketball
Here is the link to the schedule with all dates, times, TV, etc filled in. Looks like Nov. 18 vs Northwestern State will be our school game as it starts at 11 AM on a Wed. Get ready for a louuud experience that day. http://www.texassports.com/schedule.aspx?path=wbball
I was looking at the schedule again now that both pre-season polls are out. Horns sure will be tested during that four-game stretch beginning Nov 29th. We face, in succession, #4/4 Tennessee, #11/13 Miss State, NR/ARV Arkansas Little Rock, and #16/14 Stanford. And just a one game break vs. Canisius, and then it's ARV/NR Arkansas. All in the span of three weeks. I love that we continue to put together one of the toughest schedules in the country. I really wish I could see the Vol contest, but at least we get Miss State and Stanford here in Austin. It promises to be an exciting December!
