OG Sedrick Flowers #66
Sedrick Flowers was a model of consistency for the Longhorns last season - the only offensive lineman to start all 13 games at the same position (left guard).
Flowers has emerged as one of the leaders of Texas’ offensive line, a guy that I saw go out of his way to help younger offensive linemen during spring practice.
Joe Wickline has shifted plenty of players around over the last few weeks but Flowers and Taylor Doyle have been the two guys that have stayed put at their respective positions.
Barring something unforeseen, Flowers will continue his string of starts at left guard from the season opener at Notre Dame on.
He’s a senior that has been through the ropes and learned from a really good player in front of him in Trey Hopkins, a high school teammate of his. He’s reliable and will be instrumental in helping the Longhorns improve up front.
