If this belongs In The Stands I can kick it over. Just now looking at options for getting to and from South Bend on Saturday from Chicago. We have a group of 5. Would be fun to join a larger group of Horns Fans and have a party bus take us up there and back. Anyone doing anything of aware of some coordinated trips like that?
If I were you I would check Texas Ex's website and see if the Chicago Ex's or some other chapter close by might have activities and or transportation to and from the game.
There is a waiting list for the bus that is done through the Texas Exes. Myself and two friends are wayyyy down on that list. I asked about the possibility of them having another bus, but they said there are no plans to add an additional bus at this time. So we are in the same position as of right now. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I heard at one time Robert & Katy Agnor were organizing a bus ... but i'm not sure since I wont be making the trip this time.

LC hop on the pronto. Have two booked and trying to get another 3. They seem to also have 12 seater sprinters, wonder if they would do similar plan if you got own bus and tried to fill with all horns fans
Oh man, I'm jealous of people going to the game, but equally jealous of people visiting Chicago. Damn, I loved that city!
LC, doubt it is all Longhorn fans, probably a mix and if I had to guess heavy on ND which can be fun in its own way. I booked at the link above. I don't know if they run multiple buses for ND or just the one. Their website says you can request an event. In looking at their fleet they have 12 passenger Sprinter party buses, so maybe they would do a trip just for Longhorn fans if someone asked. I don't want to not have a party bus option and the others i saw were sold out. I like that this is no thinking, they have everything for you including setting up a tailgate.
AY thanks for the link. I purchased my tailgate/bus ride ticket this weekend! See you Saturday!!! I'm sooo EXCITED!!
Right right. I thought I was the only one looking. If you find some let me know. I've been bidding on Ebay. I just don't want to pay $400+ for a nose bleed seat. CRAZY!?!?!?!? Mentally I'm prepared to have a party at whatever sports bar is close to the parking lot. I asked the guy w/ the party bus about sports bars and he recommended the Linebacker.
LC, after reading your poll response, I am surprised you are going. If I thought Texas was going to get beat by 14+, I would be unloading my tickets. I bought Texas Bowl tickets very early on the possibility of us playing the Ags. However, when Arky was announced, I dumped them as quick as I could. It's not like showing up at DKR when you know we're going to get beat -- it's a lot different with flights, hotels, food, etc. I do think you're wrong about the ND game, though.
I hope I'm wrong as well. Unlike everybody here, I actually like ND; not hoping they win but looking forward to the experience and hanging with family members who graduated from ND. Plus this is on our bucket list, my daughter and I. Next year we're going to Auburn vs Bama. A little thing we like doing together.
If you're waiting until the week of a game to make transportation plans, here's an organization you desperately need to join: https://www.facebook.com/ProcrastinatorsAnonymous
If you are still looking I just passed on upper level row 14 for $150, seller in Austin. Opted for lower level they claim are in Texas section. Anyone know what sections Texas has on lower level?? Hopefully 13 is one of them
UPDATE... There is actually a dedicated bus for Texas fans and as of this am still had room. Jump on! Someone should ping Longhorn Catholic as well.
Just FYI — you can tag someone in a post by entering the @ symbol in front of their name, like this: @LonghornCatholic or @AYMan. That person will get an alert flag at the top of the page with a link to the post. It’s here in the FAQ: hornfans.com/faq/#tag
