Depth Chart for ND

Got a few freshmen starting. J Gray and Daje on kickoff returns could be interesting.

 

Biggest surprise to me is Poona Ford ahead of Hassan Ridgeway at DT. Also thought Armani Foreman was a soph, not a senior. Also notable the freshman Townsend is on 2 deep at linebacker and Hager is not.

 

Where is WR Lorenzo Joe?

Love seeing Daje on punt & kickoff returns, who knows might be a ST highlight on Sat. night!

So Foreman, M. Johnson and Burt are starting WR's.... appears Burt beat out Daje to start, but I suspect Daje will see some action. Hopefully Daje's PT is MEANINGFUL (ie. no putting him in on a fake reverse or as a WR decoy type BS).

OL is pretty much as has been anticipated the last couple of weeks. Williams and Vahe - 2 BEASTS - 2 true Frosh starting in the OL going into a season. When is the last time that happened? I can tell you.... never in UT post WWII football history.

DT - Ford starts over Ridgeway but that may be more due to Ridgeway coming back from a injury.

LB - Jinkens, Jefferson and Freeman as has been speculated. When they go to nickel back I suppose it will drop to just Jinkens & Jefferson

Punter - I am anxious to see Dickson punt... but NOT a great number of times. Maybe the next Exerleben!?

 

I figure that has to do with conditioning and probably that Ford has had a good camp.

 

True Freshman Left Tackle .. don't see that every day ...

 

It looks like the depth chart caught Lorenzo by surprise also.

Wow, look at OL, LB, and DB. Imagine if Elliott and Hager were not hurt!

 

Wow. Six freshmen starting. If they're the best players at those spots, then so be it. ND DC must be licking his chops seeing 2 freshmen on the OL.

 

Yesterday, he was tweetin' about not making the depth chart.

 

Let's hope Joe finds this motivational. Nobody on the roster looks the part of "big-time college receiver" more than he does.

 

Might be Strongs way of telling him to "pick it up or ride the pine".

 

Just shows how far some one let the program sink.

 

Hager has a knee injury that might be the reason for this. If he is healthy, he will play and also see action on special teams.
