Don't know if you guys have been getting personal emails from the staff. I have been touched by how much the coaches seem to care and how even though I have not replied they still try to reach me. This afternoon I finally had to let Charlie know why I have been silent. I was worried that he would not be able to focus on ND if I did not reply. Thought I would let my hornfans friends see why I will not be in the stands. Here is my response Subject: Re: We want you with us Hi Charlie, I have always been with the Horns. It was the athletic department that left me. Let me explain. Three years ago we joined the foundation and they suggested some seats for us to have. We donated what they asked and paid full face value for the tickets. After two seasons, a new rep called an explained that my tickets had increased in price by 50% and we no longer had parking privileges because as he said most fans did not use the spaces. He further explained that if I did not renew that I was really letting the kids down because they needed a new nutrition center. Last, he explained that I had been getting quite a deal and my seats had been undervalued for years. At this point there was no reason to risk losing brain cells in continuing the conversation. Now the friendly coaches feel the need to write several times a week. Guess they have the time since they are no longer hanging with the athletes in the dining hall. So I spent this years season ticket money on a sail boat and upgraded my tv. Wish the team well and best of luck on the season.
