    The fact that extra points even need to be mention just adds to the anomaly of how far this program has fallen

    No one can predict the future with 100% accuracy.; so yeah there is a chance (if Case McCoy can beat ou - anyone can). The probability would be greatly improved if the team is well prepared (there is a first time for everything) and ready to play.

    Foreman right, Foreman left, Foreman right, Foreman left---run him four downs every 1st down, run that kid and run and run and run him, do not let J Gray into the game unless it is 3rd and long.....hell then throw it to Foreman.......

    Wow! I did not realize this staff reverted to the "no special teams coordinator" system that failed last year. This explains why our special teams have gotten worse every week. Wow.

    2.5% chance of going to a bowl --- do they mean players individually going on their own to watch a bowl game in person?

    I'd say it's a bit higher than that.

    But if it's Texas going to a bowl, got to win 5 of these 7 games:

    OU, Dallas
    KSU
    @ISU
    KU
    @WVU
    Tceh
    @BU

    Texas was outplayed by Rice in Austin, though somehow winning by 14:
    Game Stats RICE UT
    First Downs
    30 11
    Total Offensive Yards 462 277
    Passing Yards 234 128
    Rushing Yards 228 149
    Penalty Yards 6-55 4-42
    3rd Downs 14-21 3-8
    4th Downs 1-1 0-0
    Time Of Possession 44:02 15:58

    I know it's not the Rice of the old days, and certainly not the Horns of the old days, but looking at Texas' final games would anyone think that if Rice had that schedule they'd win 5 of those 7 games?

    Didn't think so.

    (And I also know that college football results don't follow the transitive property of algebra, but still).

    Well, I do drive by the practice fields when the team is practicing and on the one field are about 6 skinny guys running around playing Freeze Tag. Yes, they are wearing practice uniforms. The other field has a whole bunch of players, they look like they are practicing.....

    Special teams coached by "staff". WTF does that even mean? Is there like a guy name "Joe Staff" who is a coach or is Mack's step son overseeing the special teams? That's one of the more disconcerting things that I've read in a while.

    Once I was recruited last minute to teach English class at a Community College as an adjunct. First night I had a student come in and address me as "Mr. Staff."

    I'm very impressed with DeAndre and his tweet. Now to the game...

    They play it for a reason so there is always a glimmer. I actually beileve that we stack up reasonably well against OU but I am not expecting a "W." These days, sadly, moral victories "do count." That's because we have become so accustomed to being annihilated. A moral victory would be to be competitive well into the 4th quarter. That would be nice.

    Perhaps "this" will be the game that we -- in no particular order -- kick FGs straight, punt down the field instead of sideways, catch the snap, snap so that it can be caught, field the punts that we are supposed to field and not field the ones that we shouldn't be fielding (is anyone following this?), cover the receiver that we're supposed to cover, not get faked out of our pants... Did I forget anything? Oh, not go for 4th and 17 when flipping the field would be the wiser choice, not use a timeout when the probability of a call being overturned is nil... Help me. There must be much, much more...

    Can you chill on your Twitter retweets, if I wanted to read what these people said on Twitter, I would have a twitter account, an occasional one here and there but not what Joe Dirt said about our 3rd string tackle and their response. With all due respect, thank you.

    I don't mind. As illogical as this may sound, I don't want a Twitter account, but I like to see selective ones.

    I have mostly liked the tweets, but I admit sometimes there are a few too many irrelevant one which is why I liked major's post. I do not think Joe should stop, and I was okay with the last one as it was relevant, but maybe cool it down a little in general.
