no highlight is complete without the obligatory Yeah, the score was different but the outcome remains the same
Poor kid. The trifecta, dad wears cargos, mom and her smokes in butt pocket, and OU sucks. Kid doesn't have a chance.
What happened to the OU running back, from Pflugervilke? Was he out today? Didn't play? Or?.. What happened?
Not entirely true...he could actually come out and announce he is a Texas fan and was crying because he was made to wear those crappy shirts and sit in the wrong part of the Cotton Bowl. Otherwise...well...he can always say "you might have seen me on any number of internet forums..."
The way Marcus Johnson crumpled and bent that safety with the stiff arm on the first play.... Man! I got a really good feeling from that early play, that it was going to be ON.
Wow, the blocking on Jerrod's run at the 2:30 mark in that highlight is a thing of beauty. Left tackle chips and goes to second level and puts the LB on his heels; pulling right guard pushes his man out; left guard seals; the H-back leading into the hole and neutralizing his man. I'm no expert by any stretch (so some of the terminology may be wrong), but that seems like it could not be executed any better than it was. Great job, guys.
Look at Marcus Johnson’s stiff-arm on the defender at the 13 second mark. The poor guy’s head pops back like he just got rear ended by a truck. The next two Sooners that got a hand on MJ barely even made an effort at the tackle.
Joe that video is awesome! So Strong looks through the door and says to Big Game Bob : "Heeeeerrrzzz Charlie!".
That was the 2006 fame if I remember correctly...so he is likely high school now...to the extent they have such things north of the Red River.
It reminds me of Adrian Phillips in the 2012 game. It's like they both thought "hey if I run such that my path intersects with his, maybe he and I will collide and maybe that will make him trip and fall over" and didn't actually plan to tackle Marcus in any way.
Yeah that was a great effort but brutal tackling on that run. Also similar on the Foreman run - I think a couple of Sooners basically ran into each other to clear out the play. Although part of that was the misdirection, which got one of the DBs way out of position, and he couldn't get around one of his teammates to get into the running lane and make a play.
I'm in shock. Can't believe we did it in Dallas. Can't believe we out blocked, out tackled, out turnovered, out scored, outfought, outcoached, out special teamed, and just totally outplayed a top 10 OU team. How did that happen? Where did that come from? Am I hallucinating? Loved the old-school rushing attack. Can you believe we gained more OU game yards rushing than in 1968, 1969, or 1970, the pinnacle of the wishbone rushing attack? Crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if space aliens landed on the south mall tomorrow.
