Great! We got one back. Didn't watch game, but appears Horns were in control.

Horns played well. Cut down on fouls, kept the bigs on the court, which made a huge difference. Freshmen played with more confidence, and upper classmen showed poise and leadership.

Gonna be a pretty good team when they get Shaka's system down.

    This.

Just watched game on DVR. Getting better each game. This team was night and day different than the one that lost to Washington in China. Team is settling down and starting to play Shakaball a little bit better each game. Gotta be tough learning a whole new offense and defense, but they're starting to get it down. Looking forward to Michigan tomorrow. :bevo:

By the way, that Aggy team that isn't very good, improved to 6-0 with a win over #10 Gonzaga. House led the way again with 19 points.

They will play Syracuse in the championship game.

We play Michigan Friday night at 6:00pm. That should be a tough test for us. Don't get me wrong. Our guys could take down the Wolverines, but it won't be easy. Michigan is a typical B10 team. Big and tough, and well drilled in the fundamentals.

Should be a fun, exciting game for the Horns with Havoc!

These early season tests are going to pay dividends down the road, there will be some growing pains as Smart's system gets implemented but there is a lot to be enthusiastic about Texas basketball not just this year but for the foreseeable future.

I wonder if this is the first time two teams have played each other twice outside the United States in the same season.

Syracuse beat aggie and was unranked. Michigan had 2 losses and beat us.

Outside of poor FTs by Ridley, I thought we played fairly well against UM. Taylor had one of his best games ever in my opinion, and I'm a Taylor critic most of the time.

You're not going to win when the opponent is shooting like that. It reminded me of the first half of our NCAA tournament game against them a couple years ago. They went absolutely apeshit from all over the field, faking every defender out with the extra passes and hitting the well-defended looks.

We did a decent job limiting the turnovers and we had more offensive rebounds than them. If you had looked at every stat on the Texas side of the box score, I would have sworn we won the game. Shot 50 percent. Made 10 threes. Taylor had 8 assists and 1 turnover. It's just a game of momentum swings and Big Mo was on UM's side from the last TV timeout of each half until the buzzers. I thought when Taylor had the And-1 and we got within a point that we'd pull it out. We had been outplaying them for a good stretch of the 2nd half.
