You can tell the school hate each other with the TCU players and fans trying to mug Briles in the end... not that Briles does not have it coming.
..... heard this stat after the TCU game... Horned frogs have lost twenty players for the season. Finished 10-2, and tonight, abeit a mess to play in, held Baylor to 60-something passing yards... least since 2002. Somehow Patterson coached em up game-to-game, regardless of player difficulties. Another coach with no excuses.
Boykin did win that game, with the 2 TDs in OT. Where had that been? Maybe having his ankle basically on ice, with the weather, for 4 hours gave him the ability to play hard on it for 10 minutes.
He's a coach that guts it out and says little. No excuses. Gets every player as ready as can be regardless of circumstances. Still can't figure out a couple of gambles he has made. This year on the 2-pt play against OU, and last year late in the Baylor game. Can't remember the play, but that it led to the loss.
I'll take that weather next Saturday morning in Waco. (Easy for me to say, watching on my couch, right?) I would like our chances with two big, powerful running backs and the eighteen wheeler.
I'm wondering how many bears will get sick this week??? though, it's not like our lineup has all of its starters, either. we'll see. Made my standard bet with my BU grad cousin. I've been getting more green in my closet the last couple of years ... time for her to get one of these.
It's odd ... she started the bet a couple of years ago ... seems only fair that we include the series ... of course, that'd break my bank buying her a new wardrobe!
y If we stay within 10, I'll stop calling for Charlie's job...............until after the first blowout next year.
