KY has a bad line and he pretty much got killed. He finished as their No. 6 in career passing yards. "Towles (6’5,240) started the first 10 games of 2015. His season totals featured 183 completions in 326 attempts (56.1%) for 2,148 yards and 9 TDs. Towles’ career totals include 427 completions in 759 attempts (56.3%) for 5,099 yards and 24 TDs. He rushed for 353 net yards and 11 TDs." http://www.wlky.com/sports/Patrick-Towles-to-transfer-from-Kentucky/36707134
Another possible -- Will Gardner Quarterback Will Gardner, who started seven games for the Louisville Cardinals prior to this season, is "looking for a new home" and will transfer, his father told the Louisville Courier-Journal Tuesday. Gardner, a redshirt junior, tore the ACL in his left knee after making seven starts during the 2014 season and hasn't played for the Cardinals since. The 6-foot-5 quarterback completed better than 57 percent of his passes for 1,669 yards and 12 touchdowns with three interceptions that season. "He's just looking for a new home for next year, a new place to play," his father, Glenn Gardner, told the Courier-Journal. "He's just going to transfer, going to move on in life." http://espn.go.com/college-football...lle-cardinals-qb-gardner-transfer-father-says
I often don't know if I truly heard something or not. Sometimes a voice in my head plays tricks on me. I think it is in my head but maybe I really heard someone say it. Now I am confused. Who said that?
We should be looking at anyone and everyone who could contribute at quarterback next year... and I mean everyone.
Unless they can play next season there is no sense in bringing a transfer in with Bueschelle (sp) and Ehlinger (sp) coming in in 2016 and 2017. A JUCO or Senior transfer would be a good idea for next season.
Recent inside joke. There was a sooner troll here talking about something being a "laughing stalk" so we had to run with it.
The next Vernon? be still my beating heart ..... He is from Austin http://www.msubobcats.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2886&path=football
Do we have "the answer" on campus, but not the coaching to bring him along? I haven't seen much evidence of that. What do we have with Locksley? Maybe the coaches were saving his shirt so he can mature into "the answer" or maybe he's a future WR. Hate to throw freshmen into the two deep if it can be avoided. Considering all of that, we desperately need to bring in more competition at QB. One or more of the QBs who will be moving around need to find a home in Austin. I don't know if Strong failed in trying to recruit transfer QBs, or if he just wasn't offering a product he could sell. Regardless, whoever ends up at OC needs to reach out to whoever can help at QB depth. I see this and recruiting DTs as the major imperatives in 2016 recruiting.
Our coaching staff is insistent that the next qb who walks into DKR be able to "pass" the ball vs "throw" the ball.
Allen will have to sit out a year unless he can get his degree before transferring. http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...er-options-oklahoma-sooners-bob-stoops-121015 According to Allen, he has been released to transfer to any school except those in the SEC and future Aggie opponents

Our new OC needs to evaluate all the potential transfer QBs and go after the one that he thinks can run his system. Trevor Knight and Patrick Towles never impressed me. Dakota Prukop I've never seen play.
QBs we have for 2016: Heard - RS Soph. - Needs more development Swoopes - Sr. - Good in 18 Wheeler and back up Locksley - RS Fr. - No Game Experience Buechele - Fr. - Incoming Fr. potential RS or Play? I agree we need to evaluate QBs that are at JUCO or Transferring from another program. If they can produce give them a look, maybe. I don't think Knight would be a fit here.
