IF this team is to make it to the Elite 8.....or beyond.....Ariel will be the missing link. She's going to be the key to get a very inconsistent offense going in games down the road. I think she's back, fully, from her injury....and ready to take her game to the next level.....thank goodness......time to make sure she's getting 28-32 minutes per game from this point on.
Good observation. We'll definitely miss Imani, but add the twins and the incoming freshmen and we're still going to be a tough out.
Boy is Ariel fun to watch. On Saturday, so many of her shots were released as soon as she caught the pass. Such elevation, and a very pretty stroke. I so wish she had never gotten injured in December 2014; that definitely had an effect on last season, and delayed her own player development quite a bit as offseason surgery was needed. Here's hoping to her remaining injury-free for the rest of her Longhorn career. She has a chance to be that player who carry a team by dominating on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor, as well as at the free throw line. As for next year without Imani, I sure hope at least one of the Caron-Goudreau twins is willing and able to play Center. No one else seems ready and skilled enough at this point to back up Lang next season.
