I wondered about that, too. Anyone know?

I don't believe so. Her greatest benefit and greatest flaw is that she's a true "X" factor. Meaning you never know what you'll get from her and she can swing the game in either direction. In a close conference game with the #3 team in the league, not sure I would've rolled the dice either. Go with what you know works and Brady came in and gave great minutes.

I just felt the game require
My thoughts exactly. Circumstances dictated her not getting into the game. We needed Hosey's minutes because of Imani's situation.

    Here's the writeup:

11 turnovers may be a season low for us. If we can stay under 15 a game for the rest of the season, we'll be in great shape. Solid shooting from the line again has to make everyone feel good. Brooke took zero 3-point shots; don't think that's happened before tonight.

Coach Littrell was very complimentary of the offense we ran, and of Brooke and Ariel specifically.

Littell usually shows a lot of class in stark comparison to the OSU football coach. During the post game handshake he pulled Brooke in close and said something - it was positive based on her reaction.

We only played 8 players, IMO this help reduced the turnovers. The players get to build chemistry on the floor! I hope will continue to tighten up the line up.

We have a lot of fans on opposite sides when it comes to player rotations/substitutions Some have wanted a shorter rotation of players used, while others want more players to see court time. On Wednesday, 8 players saw the floor. But, several want to see Lashann play; nothing wrong with that. My guess is that the defensive assignments on Martin are why Empress and Ariel (and perhaps Brady) kept Lashann from entering the game. Might see the same thing at OU on Sunday regarding how we guard Peyton Little.

Regarding foul trouble, I do like how Coach A managed the minutes for Imani and Empress as they picked up fouls. I am in favor of pulling a player if they pick up an early foul; I've said my opinion is that a player can quickly pick up a cheap second foul if they are frustrated about the first foul. Coaches reading a player's body language might be a clue as to who to pull and who to leave on the court.

I'm in the 'play as many as you can until the tournament' camp. Texas' depth is one of the biggest advantages they have in the conference and it should be maximized as much as possible against every opponent not sporting green and yellow. It keeps players engaged, helps in development, and minimizes wear and tear on everyone (see Iowa State and LSU in the 4th quarter of games).

I'm all for playing as many players that can help you win that game on that day, whether it's five players or twelve. Lashann will probably get an opportunity to play against Oklahoma, especially if they're playing man to man just like she did in the first game. Oklahoma isn't a very good man to man defensive team and Lashann can take advantage of that.

She's quite the athlete. I was impressed. Hadn't really seen much of her this year, although looking over some box scores she's played plenty. Guess I mostly saw the games she didn't see much time in.
