Shaka Smart on the list. Nobody is going to want to face the Longhorns in March, and their coach is a major reason why. ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2016-02-10/college-basketball-7-coach-year-candidates-watch
Mentioning the loss of Ridley would have added even more credibility, to Coach Smart's COY candidacy.
Despite a shaky start this team really looks like it can compete with most anyone out there right now. Shaka has done a terrific job, glad he’s here.
Team can compete with "errbody." Doing some nice crootin of his own too. This note, for the second straight game Texas will face a ranked opponent, on the road, that lost their last game to an unranked Big 12 team. OU losing to KSU and now ISU loses to Tech before we face them Saturday, at Ames. This conference is kind of hard, especially on the road. The Cyclones will be in desperation mode, as a loss would make them 6-6 in conference play. They get their center back in McKay, that served a two game suspension, for breaking team rules.
This game will be very, very tough. (Not exactly a news flash, huh?) Anyhow, McKay will be totally juiced, trying to make up for his bonehead misbehavior that may have cost his team the ttu game. And the normal crazy loud home crowd will have the place rocking. Just hope our guys can start fast and finish strong, keep the crowd out of it and somehow manage another hard fought road win!! Go Horns!!
