Blake Goins transferred to San Jacinto, Micheal McCann will redshirt this season, Taylor Stell continues to have knee problems, so he is out for the year, maybe done at Texas, and unfortunately due to a chronically bad shoulder, Chad Hollingsworth is giving up baseball.

    More on this year's team.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Sounds like the pitching "pool" will be well stocked and with some new faces in the starting rotation. Some good players graduated and a few are / were lost to injury. A relatively young team with some talented returning starters.

    I say: PLAY BALL!!! :hookem:

College baseball teams are usually young...The good ones anyway...

Agreed. In baseball there's little concern over starting highly talented Freshmen or being young as a team. The fundamentals are roughly the same, aside from some tweaking. Very good HS players can usually make those adjustments in one Fall off-season.

Lesser body development than older players doesn't hinder execution for the most part. There are tons of lanky kids and Freshmen who lit it up for the Horns. If the kid is good, he's good...age/size won't limit immediate potential in college baseball.

Looks like there will be better hitting this year based on the limiting view I saw of the game.
