Two commits in one day (both via Traylor I think and both top 100 East Texas guys)

4-star SSDE Lagaryonn Carson (6'4, 260) from Texarkana, TX
No. 2 strong-side defensive end in the country and No.6 on the 2017 LSR -- called "elite"
Probably the No. 2 in-state 2017 DL after Marvin Wilson
Offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Texas A&M

Sounds about right. Ridgeway came in as a DE as well. The dude is already 260 lbs as a sophomore in HS so he'll probably spin up to DT. :smile1:

L E is a jewel that many people in my opinion don't know about on the collegiate level, even though i think it was the Rogers brothers at oregon st. that got a little attention. there are many athletes there, glad to see Traylor knows his east texas high schools. Go get'em.

Maybe you are thinking about James at RB. He was from L.E.

The first two plays are high school highlights from Hassan Ridgeway.
The second two are from the new guy.

I know my northeast Texas high schools and Liberty Eylau High
School is South of Texarkana by the Federal Correctional Institute prison.

Oregon had a pipeline going of running backs from there. I think most are familiar with Lamicheal James and Tra Carson transferred to A&M from Oregon.

Lagaryonn Carson and Tra Carson are cousins. Largaryonn is quick for his size and will fill a position of need at DE for Texas.

LE High is becoming a hotbed of talent and I'm glad that UT is finally getting in on this.

Coach Strong was in Texarkana last Thursday to visit Lagaryonn, but he also went to Texas High School, while in town. I'm not sure why he visited there. This was a high school powerhouse for years under the legendary Watty Meyers. I would like to see another talent like Nathan Vasher come out of there and play for Texas.

IMO current coach Norton has done more at Texas High than Myers who played politicts over talent in some cases. Look to Hooks for next Vasser type talent. Your are right on LE having a ton of talent in football. Also in track IMO.

Part of the CS Strategy is to visit several local schools when in an area to visit a specific recruit thus meeting many coaches and opening lines of communication as well as putting an eye on future recruits. Networking.
