So they have some digital flags? That's sweet of them, I guess. Plus it saves them from the labor of those cumbersome folding rules.

    OK, I finally found one
    This is today, current
Looks like three real ones, politely tucked around the corner
    can enlarge by clicking once

(edit - it appears these flags were hastily added due to the complaints - did Snoopes explain this part?)

Amazing, Trump getting airtime on MSNBC complaining that the DNC is not talking about issues that the voters want to hear. Methinks Hillary to get little bounce from this **** show.

The similarities between you and Trump are eerie. Even when shown evidence of being factually incorrect you can't simply say "I was wrong" rather you double-down. Never being able to admit fault is considered a character flaw by many. In a POTUS it's an abhorrent flaw that will be disastrous in decision making. Reflecting back on decisions good or bad is essential to improving them going forward.

Here is the full Trump presser from today
He stands there and takes reporter questions for close to an hour, just as he did regularly through the entire primary campaign. No matter what you make think of his answers, it is pretty remarkable that he does this. I cant remember any other politician who has ever done it.

Anyway, with this conference, he cleverly seized the news cycle away from Bill Clinton, et al., and brought the focus back to Hillary's emails

He should be lauded for the access he gives to the media. All politicians should consider this part of their job. Now, how often does he answer the tough question? From what I've seen he goes right to his bully tactics when confronted with any remotely challenging question to evade an answer. That's probably lauded by his supporters though.

Snoopes was not correct. The Dems made a conscious decision to not place the US flag on their convention floor. Why? There was a Harvard study a few years ago that concluding most American voters associate the flag with Republicans. So, it was a vetted, group decision on their part.

Then the photos began to circulate of the absence of a flag on social media. I think it was the Daily Caller stuff I posted here (but doesnt matter who first figured it out). The Dems started taking criticism on social media. Flags were then brought to the stage. I believe there are some photos of them being carted out. And, of course, they were tucked around the corner so as not to offend any of the attendees.

I hope this opens your eyes to blindly relying upon Snoopes. They have done this sort of thing in the past.

And here is Monday's stage -- no flags

So says the Daily Caller? They wouldn't have any agenda right? The Snopes article was posted before Day 2 activities (of Day 1 pictures) showing those flags in the same position you are saying only showed up for Day 2.

Is there evidence of the DNC making a group decision not to have any flags? After all, we have all their email via WikiLeaks.

I cannot believe you wrote that or even thought it.

Neither Obama nor Hillary ever take open questions from the press. Those rare occurrences when they do speak to a reporter, the questions are scripted and pre-approved. Hillary hasn't held an open presser since the 1920s. It's one thing to say you dont like Trump's answers, but it makes you look silly when compared to the fact that you have never directly criticized Hillary for her wholesale refusal to take any non-scripted question, from anyone, ever.

-- Hillary hides from reporters vs. Trump takes any and all questions for an hour (and does it all the time)

What? You can't believe I have an opinion rather than a candidate? I'm not here to support HRC or Obama and do have the ability to celebrate aspects of candidates I don't support.

My standards don't change based on the candidate I support. This is why I don't identify with a single party or candidate.

Again, Snopes included pictures of the flags. They've since added a video clip from FoxNews in which they admit there were flags. The laughable part of this dumb argument is that the flags at the RNC were digitally rendered thus would come and go too. Overall, this attempt to claim ownership of patriotism which is the root of the accusation is absurd.

here is one theory on the DNC/Clinton/DWS plan --

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was co-chair of Hillary 2008 (the one she lost to Obama)

Hillary determined that, in order to lock down the nomination in 2016, she would have to have her own person in charge of the DNC, so she could control and manipulate it from within (which, as we know from the leaked emails, was done).

But, in order to get her person into the DNC chair, Hillary first had to persuade the existing DNC chair to step down. What could she offer that was more prestigious than acting head of the Democrat Party?

    The previous chair? Tim Kaine

There were no actual flags on Day One
Only digital flags occasionally shown on screen

No, I cant believe you would hold candidates to such different standards
    Seems unfair and inconsistent

How am I holding them to different standards? I've stated other politicians should offer greater access. Are you asking how I can laud Trump on this single topic in comparison to other politicians and not vote for him?

Youve never said anything specific about Clinton hiding from reporters. It's been over a year since she gave a presser.

Uh...this may surprise you but I don't follow HRC to know she hasn't given a press conference in 235 days (per Trump). In the larger context of Town Halls, interviews, speeches should I have known this? When pointed out I stated my position. Now, since I didn't mention it or know of it previously my "standards are vacillating"? Is this what Phil is referencing with "pick the fly Shiite out of the pepper", whatever that means?

I dont see how anyone can follow politics and not know Hillary Clinton is a control freak who does not take questions from reporters (unless they are scripted and pre-approved and even then only on a limited basis). Seems impossible
