Rose Bowl Tickets

The Rose Bowl Is the Place to Be On New Years for College Football FansThe Rose Bowl is known around the world as the "Grand Daddy of Them All." It is held every year at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. It is the oldest college bowl game and is rich in tradition and pageantry. The tournament of Rose's parade is the traditional New Year's Day celebration. Following the parade comes the game. The first game was held in 1902 and pitted the University of Michigan versus the Stanford Cardinal. Michigan won the contest 49-0 and the game was such a blow out that Stanford quit in the second half. The game was suspended until 1916 where it has been played ever since. Because the game is the oldest and most sought after bowl game for fans around the country, Rose Bowl tickets are the most expensive and sought after seats available. To get in to the game is a once in a lifetime experience for many football fans. The game is traditionally a contest that pits the champion of the PAC 10 conference and the BIG 10 conference. The most frequent match up has been the University of Southern California Trojans and the University of Michigan Wolverines, with USC holding a 6-2 advantage over the Wolverines. Today, with the advent of the Bowl Championship Series, otherwise known as the BCS other teams are now making their appearance, but the Bowl committee still tries to match the PAC 10 versus the BIG 10 when possible. The only time that it has not featured this match-up is when it is hosting the National Championship Game. It has held this game twice, in 2002 and 2006. The list of players who played in the game is a who's who of hall of famers and future NFL stars. Including George Halas for Great Lakes University, O.J. Simpson from the University of Southern California, Brian Griese from the University of Michigan, and Vince Young for the University of Texas. The ghosts of the "Grand Daddy of Them all” are ever present in the stadium. Getting into the Rose Bowl is an awe inspiring feat that not only includes the game but the complete experience that is Pasadena and the Tournament of Roses parade and activities. If there is only one bowl game that you get to see in your life, then this is the game to see. You will not be disappointed. It also has the most seats of any BCS game.
