I'm a 30 year old Native Texan who had never fired a gun up until today. It was an AK47, and I hit my target on all 3 shots from around 25-30 yards I'd say. This was the gun: This was the target:
Your hand looks a lot like the hand on that girl in the swimming pool frolicking around with that Frog, I mean Prince. Whenever a female friend of mine has a bad break up with a dude I take them to the firing range to vent their negative energy. Now they call me and say they need to "go shoot ****" and we go. I either load up a gun of mine or we rent some at the range. They really dig it. At Redd's Ranges, indoor, they have ladies day/night on Monday's. Great prices and a good chance to fire lots of other guns and gain experience as well as knowledge. Learn the right way right away and don't cut corners. I suggest you learn how to break down a gun, clean it and then reassemble. I think it's a great way to learn a deeper respect and understanding of the firearm. There's just something about knowing how the guts and innerds of a gun works that enhances the experience and fosters more responsibility, imho. Yay for you.
That is my teenage, white, male cousin's hand. I didn't even want to experience it really, but my cousin sort of made me. I expected a lot of kickback, but what I noticed more was the air that hit my face! And then it smelled like fireworks. I also shot a .243 Winchester.
