I am giving the highlights of a pay for view article here, from Orangebloods.

A four star shooting forward, that can supposedly play both guard positions too. He is the leading scorer in the Under Armour Association and plays for the Houston Defenders.

He said his purpose for the visit was to meet Coach Smart and discuss what his role would be, as a player, in his scheme. He talked with Smart and toured the basketball facilities and the UT campus.

McGusty had little knowledge about Texas and it's basketball program, before the visit. When it was concluded, he was asked what caught his attention. He responded, "Everything," the facilities, rec center, that there is a Nike store on campus. He also likes the history of all the former players that are in the NBA.

He also said Coach Smart was a great guy, with lots of enthusiasm and said he would fit in, by being a versatile guard at any of the 1-3 positions. What stood out most to McGusty about Smart, was his positive feedback about the program and the style of play used. That it was "great stuff" about how they play and how he would fit into that style.

McGusty said that Indiana, Texas, OU, Texas Tech, USC, Houston, Baylor, Northwestern, Purdue, and Wake Forest are showing him the most interest so far. That Baylor, Purdue, Northwestern, and Wake Forest are the only ones that have yet to offer.

    Player profile of Kameron McGusty.
