If you want to, spill some details about yourself — where you live, where you grew up, how long you’ve been a Longhorn, when you first joined Hornfans, what you do for a living, whatever.

This thread suggested by @TheWalkingHorn ... I’m sure she will get us started. :smile1:

Grew up in Fort Worth, live in the Chicago area now. Been a fan since the late 70's. Probably joined HF in 2003, I think. Was living in Seattle and was hroninseattle. Very original screen names, I know. Work as pilot, anyone know anyone looking for a good Challenger 604 pilot? I'm your guy. Used to teach karate for a living for a few years in FW during the 90's.

I am Snek. I am a slithery cousin to the Multi-Named Mamba that can be found in various situations but always lethal. I like to travel in Mexico and Russia, looking for brides.

I was born in Houston. I took Karate lessons from a pilot in Fort Worth back in the 90's. The rest is hisssssstory.

Note to self: do not mess with @horninchicago.

Born and raised in the Houston area. Went to UT in the late 80s, have been working in technology ever since. Currently living in Katy with a wonderful wife and kids for the last 16 years. Joined Hornfans in 2001 and have had a ton of fun with it. I invented the question mark and enjoy luge lessons in the Rangoon summers. Sometimes I make things up. I am ready to watch Charlie hoist crystal trophies while the players carry his large frame around a brightly-lit field. I enjoy all kinds of everything.

I know who you are snek... you cannot fool me:smokin:

Grew up in FW but have lived in the Dallas area since 1978
Serious Horn fan since Jan. 1, 1964 when I was 10 - watched UT beat Navy for the NC with my Dad.
Dad, Brother, Uncle and a cousin are UT grads

Intended to be a UT grad but a HS GF got me started at S.F. Austin, so I got a business degree from SFA
AA FB Steve Worster was my hero when I was playing ball in HS - so his name influenced my name here
Married with 2 fine older sons in college... I hope one might end up graduating from UT Austin

I'm a third-generation Texas grad. Born in Rockdale but grew up in DFW; attended Texas 1975-79 and graduated with a BJ. (That's Bachelor of Journalism for all you perverts. Which is everyone here but me.)

After working as a sports reporter for a DFW suburban daily, for which I covered the Dallas Cowboys for two years and ******* Brian Bosworth in high school, I move to Temple to cover news. A series of questionable decisions and 32 years later, I am a broken-down journalist who works as a community college academic advisor and supermarket bagger and in my spare time like to channel James Thurber.

I went to my first Longhorn game as a baby in my mama's arms. Also making a debut at that game was a young man named Darrell Royal. I attended every game during the 1969 season, including The Big Shootout. I hold season tickets in football and baseball and will until The University prices me out, which may come sooner than later.

I've been married to my first husband for almost 30 years, and we have nine beautiful cats. I have no tattoos and am a practicing Presbyterian. Peace out. :hookem:

I split the first part of my life between living in Mexico and Austin... My family goes back four generations in Austin, but since my pops died, I have nobody there but the Horns. Since the 1st grade, I've bled burnt orange.. I ran around the track and the DKR field after the games back in the 80's... I always was a huge fan.

I grew up in the Austin ghetto (12th street and Pleasant Valley) way before gentrification was cool (******* hipsters!)... I lived there (with my people) until 2000 when I graduated from UT with a BA in Psych... minor in Ed Psych.

I now work in Healthcare and have done so for almost 10 years... I have a Masters from TAMUCC, but I'm a bit ashamed to say it (the whole TAMU link)... I'm a Manager in the Revenue Cycle side of a Children's Hospital in south Texas, inching in to a Director spot or starting a healthcare gig of my own (whichever comes first)...

I've had season tickets since I was a student, and I don't ever plan on giving them up (NEZ - Sec 15)...

I don't actually wear orange pants... I do, occasionally wear a cape...

    Fin.

I was born and raised in NE Texas and currently live in Texarkana, TX. I am married with 3 wonderful children who are all rabid Longhorn fans. The first Longhorn game I can remember was the Big Shootout in 1969 at the age of 9. I have been hooked on the Horns ever since. I have been asked on several occasions whether or not I have any clothing that doesn't have some kind of Longhorn on it. I have been a member of Hornfans since Oct 1999. I don't post much but love to lurk and learn from others. Thanks for standing up this new site!!! It's great!!!

I was hatched in Houston. Moved to the NYC area, Brownsville and and 3 other places growing up with a center in Texas at all times due to Grandparents and Mom's side of family. On that side I am of German and Cherokee. Father's side, Spanish. I graduated H.S. in Central Texas. At no time did my love for the Longhorns waiver since it's beginning at 4 years old when I had to decide which ball cap to get for fishing with my Grandfather.

I live in Austin and can be found slithering around despite protests. I don't know much but I do know that OU Sucks.

I started with hornfans around 1998 as tristatecoog. Katy and Robert Agnor + Longhorn Bob Wheeler helped me start coogfans.com as part of The Fans Network, which also had baylorfans and others under its prodigious wings.

I grew up a Horn fan, went to the UT honors colloquia as a rising senior but UH gave me lots more money. I almost went to b-school at UT but delayed admission and went to Columbia two years later. I despise the Aggies so the Horns are my fourth favorite team after UH, SMU (where wife works) and Columbia. Cheers...and hope good things for this site.

I was born and raised in northeast Texas. Born in Texarkana because we had no hospital at the time in the small hamlet of New Boston.

Always knew I wanted to go to UT from early on listening to games on the old Humble SWC network and wanted to go to Journalism and Communication School. Texas was just ranked number one in Journalism when I arrived passing Missouri at the time with the all new Journalism complex that started Austin City Limits. I got to work on the sets for ACL in one of my classes

I went from 1977-82 and acquired two degrees, I got into Grad School in Journalism, but decided to get a BJ in Broadcast Journalism to go along with my RTF degree.

I think I have talked about my baseball back round at UT and elsewhere enough, so I will leave it at that. Spent many a day at the Disch and other places with some people on this very forum. You know who you are, at least I hope you do, as your getting pretty old.

I read the earlier post about graduating with a BJ, which ironically was from somebody from Texarkana. Of course that was the big city to us, with all the stores and people. We small town folk would wait till we got in private for such celebrations. :smile1:

Oh and that Snek, Kek, or patty cake, I think I smell the blood of a poster who had like two million posts on the old site. One who searches for his true princess still. A slithery loop is still a loop, like a rose is a rose.

Being a private person, I am reluctant to share much information about myself. I do not do social media, but enjoy reading about those who have been hacked. The location services for my cell phone have all been disabled; I have punctured the camera lens with an ice pick and covered the mic with duct tape.

I married my girlfriend, Ann, at the insistence of her father, Colonel Onnymous. She was distant at times, almost like she wasn't even there, but quite lovely. Even though she couldn't conceive, we found 3 children and raised them - 2 are UT grads. Ann left me when I got the internet and discovered HornFans.com.

I am a 19_ _ graduate of the world's greatest institution of higher learning, the University of Texas, with a BA in BS. I am a strong Charlie Strong supporter and can't wait for him to transform this program from entitled to enraged.
