Anyone play contests or want to? I created a group for Hornfans on ESPN's site for their college pick 'em. Just for Hornfans bragging rights. I copied the rules from the site below. c. Scoring. Each week during the Promotion Period, entrants will select the winners of ten (10) Saturday U.S. college football games. In addition, entrants will be required to assign each game a "confidence point" value between one (1) and ten (10). The higher the confidence point number you assign to a particular game, the more confident you are that the team you have selected will win the match-up. Each confidence point number (the whole values one [1] through ten [10]) must be used each Week. Points will only be received for correctly selecting a winning team. Entrants do not receive or lose points for incorrect picks. Entrants accumulate points from the date of their first winning pick. Entrants who begin participation after the start of the Promotion Period has begun will not receive points for the week(s) they have missed. In the event the scheduled U.S. college football games listed do not occur as scheduled (e.g., the game is cancelled) no points will be awarded. Ties will be broken in accordance with the tie-breaker procedure below.
You need to have an ESPN.com account. Once you have that and are signed in, following the link provided above should automatically enroll you in the group. Prepare to lose.
I have an ESPN account and have played their pick'em games, so I'm in for sure. Should we move this thread to "In The Stands," so it would be seen by more people?
Glad you guys want to play! I wasn't sure which forum to post in since I considered it entertainment, but you're right this forum probably doesn't get as much traffic as some others.
I just signed up and made my picks! TX 24 ND 21 ! my handle over there is Varsity23 -- did not think ESPN / Disney would approve Badass ha ha ha! But y'all really know who Varsity23 is !
I thought I would get an early start planning the post-season menu. How would you like your crow prepared?
Smoked at 225 for a few hours with a side of potato salad, coleslaw, yeast rolls, fried okra, mac 'n cheese, chicken fried steak, fried shrimp, bacon, and german chocolate cake. Better get to work!
The long college football drought is almost over. We've got 11 Hornfans so far in the pickem. It's not too late to join!
I could've kept going, but I don't want any of you old farts dying in the middle of the meal from too much cholesterol or something.
Some fried crow, but no breading or gravy? Good for your sexual potency too! How about some blackbird pie for dessert?
I don't wanna know where NBHorn gets his vids from. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of weird *** videos.
It's a deep, dark, and very strange place known as youtube.com. I thought all the cool kids knew about it.
He damn well better not be. I think NBHorn just spends a lot of time on youtube watching himself. He is almost as famous as me, you know. Of course, he does watch old videos of Trixie whenever he gets the chance, too.
Trixie could be a real *****, I guess that was to be expected since she was my Uncle's dog. It's still the only living thing I have ever known named that. I do remember watching the Osmonds, as a little kid, on the Andy Williams show. Growing up in a small northeast Texas town, I had a much more wholesome adolescence than George in NYC. Dad taught me to how to hunt and fish, not to sell bras for men. Coming to Austin did corrupt me some and certainly Hornfans has continued that. I have gazed upon the picture of Ms. Sorvino and her famous ice cream cone you know. It seems George can find some weird videos also on youtube, I knew he could do it, if he relaxed by saying "serenity now" a few times.
I only did this for the women. Aerobic women love you long, long, long, long, time. The only drawback is they need that motivational cheesy music. It's hard to be like you and be an architect, marine biologist, hand model, and so many more.
