How often do refs get suspended for the rest of the season?

Because that is what should happen.

There are a lot of people who don't want Charlie Strong to succeed at Texas. And one or two of them were on that Refereeing crew today.

The holding call against Poona Ford was blatantly created by the ref.

Also, the ball was down, in the hands of our D back before Walsh could have swept it away, if indeed he did wrestle it away. My point is that once the ball is in possession of someone and the ground the ball is dead. And it was in possession of Texas on the ground. Should have been Texas ball.

There were numerous calls that were very questionable, so much so that even the TV commentators were baffled by it.

Pathetic call indeed, but we made plenty of stupid mistakes that kept them in the game. How we didn't pounce on the fumble was embarrassing.

Officiating was horrific but Texas flat gave that game away all on its own with no offense at all in second half and some really bad coaching decisions. Yes the refs were terrible but they didnt lose the game no offense, incredibly bad coaching decisions and another special teams breakdown all combined to lose this one.

The offensive strategy and game management in the second half was nothing short of bush league. There are many things that lost this game, but the players are the least at fault. Between the refs and their own coaches' decisions, they didn't have a prayer.

Going to be a roller coaster for a while. We are on the right path tho.

You just described Duke Thomas' career in an adjective. He has earned less and less playing time as his career has evolved. Same with J-Gray.

And for everyone who wants to lay off Mack Brown because he's not here any longer, the 2nd reason we couldn't strap on a pair and take that game away (first reason being Strong) was that there's no upperclassmen leadership. None. Gray, Doyle, whoever. They pout like titty babies most of the game and then put their hands on their hips after the 0-yard gain on 1st down.

Last week we hit Gray 2 times on passes down the sidelines. Never even tried one.

And Daje, catch the damn ball son.

And Heard, you can not take a sack to take us out of field goal range.

And Ford, well, you just can't be in the game because you must have bad karma or something.

And Dixon, catch the damn hike.

And 21, pull the ball in and don't let some weenie QB take it away.

And ref, that 1st play of the 2nd half was too damn close to call.

We make one of those plays and it's overtime. We make 2 of them and we win.

At 1-3 I see no hope for Charlie. Put a fork in him. He's done. Real question is will Buechelle still want to come here.

The defensive holding call against Poona has to be one of the Top Ten worst calls ever - that official is clearly suffering from a craniorectal insertion.

This team will be balling next year. 5 freshman each on both sides of ball were playing regularly.

Strong will get a third year (and needs 10 wins then) unless unless Texas loses out. How long of a leash depends on beating ou and one of TCU and Baylor.

I really see this as charlie's first year. The results aren't where we would like them but I love this team, especially the first recruiting class, the team is getting better and I think Texas kicks down the door next year. We are this close to 3-1 so let's not get all poo-poo

These guys just went on national television and made themselves look like a bunch of incompetent ******** at best. At worst they have zero integrity. I hope it was worth it for them to tweak coach Strong and a bunch of 20 year old kids...

I watched the game with an aggy couple and even they had to admit it was the most bizarre officiating they had ever seen and we were getting screwed.

I bet we hear more in the coming week and I'd be surprised if this crew hasn't set their careers back by 10 years with this stunt...
