worse is that there are people that believe that a man can actually get pregnant...god only knows what harms will be visited upon the kid due to the ingestion of various chemicals that she had been injecting into her body.

I am no expert, but I have my doubts that this photo is real. I would think that the same drugs that cause a person a FTM-trans to grow a beard and chest/arm/leg hair would also f**k up the lactation process. No?

Being fully human is about integrating all the components of our past (animalistic, tribalism, etc.), not just ignoring ones you don't like. What dolts.

There's a special place in hell for these idiot parents who actively try to screw up their kids to try to make themselves feel more politically correct.

Mostly boys want to be boys and girls want to be girls. My daughter loved Barbies from the time she could play with them. My son, still an infant, became engaged and delighted watching the sword fight scenes in Peter Pan. My mother in law, who had lots of grandsons and granddaughters, said all the boys practically came out of the womb making machine gun noises.

That said: I've known some notable exceptions from my circle of friends and the boys who liked dolls grew up to be men who liked men. I think our sexuality is pretty much hard wired for most of us.

Not to derail anything, but couldn't the same be said for parents who actively try to force kids to conform to gender stereotypes, only to ostracize or cause psychological harms to kids who don't identify that way?

Or another way of looking at it... which is more harmful? Parents who are angry that their kids don't meet their PC goals, or kids who are angry that their parents didn't accept them for who they are?

I think the definition of "screw up their kids" could be parents forcing their feminine boy to play with swords and tanks in the hope that it plays the gay away.

I would indict the father of the Orlander shooter to have the greater guilt (based on what I read which may or may not be true). Alternatively, some shooters apparently were bad from birth.

I have the same observation. A male cousin of mine loved to play dolls with my sister rather than shoot the .22 or ride the 3-wheeler on the farm. Yep, gay. Another female cousin wanted play "pick 'em up and kill 'em" (Smear the Queer) and she is now lesbian.

I have 3 sons. My wife got a doll for my middle son because he had a desire to carry his newborn brother around. He was only 19 months older. I'm not sure that doll was ever touched by any of my sons. It ultimately became a dog toy.

It certainly works both ways when parents try TOO HARD to make them be something they aren't.

It's all a matter of degree and being reasonable. It's not going to make a boy go tranny if he picks up a doll. However, I think a parent should generally lead his kid in the direction of being normal and think it's a disservice and borderline abusive to try to force him or her away from that.

I don't see a problem with generally leading kids to play with toys that are gender neutral. If boys find out that they prefer action figures and girls find out that they prefer dolls, then at least the parents should have the "comfort" of knowing that they tried to steer them to the middle ground. "Forcing" kids to do anything that would make them uncomfortable in a play setting or with sports should be frowned upon. If a kid is uncomfortable playing with, say, a gender-neutral animal based game, then it would be silly to make them continue playing it.

yes and no...there are actually drugs that could make real males capable of producing milk. Not in copious quantities, but capable. The drugs are generally given to actual females who, for whatever reason, do not naturally produce enough on their own. It is an off-label use of whatever it was...

What is this middle ground of which you speak?

I had 3 kids and I can honestly say I never gave this issue a single thought. They 're all 3 grown and married to the opposite sex and pumping out grandkids. People are making this way too f@&$ing complicated.

Yet Liberals used this exact reason ("The Doll Experiment") to begin implementing the failed policies of school integration, school busing, the 1964 Civil Rights legislation, diversity, and quotas.

Gender neutral toys. If adults are uncomfortable with their kids not conforming to their PC world, I don't think it's harmful to say "hey what about this board game that has animal figures" instead of a pre-2005 version of The Game of Life which makes the goal of the game for a mommy and daddy to pump out children so they get more cash every time they land on a pay day spot. Or the aforementioned GI Joes for boys and Barbies for girls.

So if your family goals are what you mentioned, congratulations, I guess. I, too, have three daughters who loved pink things and dolls and girly things galore. But if you don't see how that situation might differ from family to family, then I guess you probably don't understand why it would be important to them.

I'd love to see your "Life's Not Fair" motivational speech series. Actually, I think I might like to watch the audience's reaction in a predominantly black church or the like.

I would be happy to preach. I'll only charge 1/2 of the rate demanded for Clinton speeches while providing 10x the valuable content. Hopefully that will start to shear some of the wool Democrats have pulled over their eyes. I'll reserve a front row seat for you.

Wow, I guess I have been a lesbian all this time. I better contact all my old boyfriends and let them know.
I didn't really like playing with dolls, and loved to follow my big brother around and do what he did. Having water balloon fights, playing kickball, freeze tag, etc. just seemed more fun than dressing up a plastic object.
When I was 5 or 6, I asked for a gun, and a sharp knife for Christmas, so I could play Cowboys and Indians with my brother. When I was 10, I even asked for a chemistry set and a telescope.
I was a very small, blonde little girl--I imagine my beautiful, Southern belle mother was horrified by my requests, but, she and my dad went with it. In all fairness, I also asked for an EZ bake oven, and cookbooks, so I guess those cancelled everything out.

In 6th grade I could beat every boy in school in a footrace, but I realized that it wasn't "cool" for me to do that. So, I swapped being a tomboy and became a cheerleader and other "girly" things.

I honestly thought, and hoped, that some of these stereotypes were gone by now. I do think there can be tendencies in younger years that may indicate sexual preference, but I think you should let your child follow and do things they are interested in doing. If they are gay, trying to force fit them into activities will only delay the inevitable.
Sexuality is a spectrum, the old bell curve in action. There may be kids out there like me, who weren't super in to girly things, but will be straight, and boys that may have a bit more of a feminine side, who will be straight. Some friends of mine had two sons, the first a total "normal" boy, the second had a softer energy, and one day he kept picking up a doll of a girl at church and carrying it around. The dad freaked out. The parents are super fundamental Christians, and I thought it would be very ironic if one of their boys had been born gay.

The older boy ended up an Aggie, and just won some Aggy all Corps top award. The younger, softer boy is an excellent musician who won a scholarship to UT in their very competitive orchestra program. They both like women.
By the way, my niece is a pole-vaulter on full scholarship to U. of Arkansas (where they trained female that won a medal at the Olympics a few months back), AND she was in, and won, many beauty pageants and modern dance competitions.
    Yep, straight.
    Unpossible.

In addition to your newly discovered lesbianism, you've also unknowingly revealed your environmental insensitivity by asking for an EZ Bake Oven. Not good.

So, I'm not only a lesbian, but one who isn't a tree hugger wearing Birkenstocks?
Man, I need to brush up on my newfound sexuality!
    So much to learn...
    (I am a bit of a tree hugger. I can't help it--I love trees.)

Don't feel bad. It's tough to reinvent oneself to fit the stereotypes. If I found out I was gay, I'd have to ditch the beer and start drinking fruity mixed drinks (or at least chardonnay), start wearing skinny jeans, and work on having a good lisp. I don't think I could pull it off.

Big Red has adopted a ‘nonnegotiable' list of expected beliefs about diversity and inclusion

"Calling the University of Nebraska Lincoln a place that “values acceptance,” the institution kicked off the fall semester with its newly installed chancellor essentially telling new students they should not say or do things that might be offensive or cause people to feel disrespected, calling the stance “nonnegotiable.” "
