I've been wondering if she is related to Empress . . .

Sedona was 1 block away from a triple double:

Kind of outta the blue for Charli. Not holding my breath for Texas though I would love to be wrong.

Whoa! That's a surprise! I wish it was Texas but I think BU or UConn.

    It's UCONN.

Best wishes to Collier. I didn't feel she would end up at Texas with Holmes, Boothe, White, and Prince being in the fold.. Charli is a great player, but I don't think her choosing UConn really "hurts" us. The aforementioned players will be able to handle things in the front court. Lots of egg on faces in Waco though...

Hi brnjk, just curious, why would you say that there's lots of egg on faces at Baylor? Baylor is loaded at the front court with Mompremier, Kalani Brown, & Lauren Cox. If Collier were to get earlier playing time, it would be at Connecticut and not Baylor or Texas. Thanks.

Someone on another message board posted that Charli would follow Megan Walker (this was before Megan's announcement).

I'm happy for her, though I don't think roster at any of the schools had much to do with the decision. In terms of her position, anyway. The current landscape everywhere will be different when she arrives at UCONN a couple of years from now (for the Horns, Jatarie, Khaleann, Jordan and Olamide will all be seniors in '18), and all top programs will have multiple players and options at her position, including the Huskies. I doubt she was ever worried about potential competition, or playing time at any of the programs she was considering.

I wasn't referring to the Baylor staff, as they know they'll be in no critical need for another post players in 2018. I was simply stating that it wasn't a surprise to me that Collier went to UConn. After she retracted her verbal to us and re-opened her recruitment I figured she would eventually choose another school. But just reading on the Baylor message boards, the general tone seemed to be she was almost an automatic Baylor signee. I go to their message board on occasion as I do UConn and Texas Tech. Hope that clarifies... No, nothing against the Baylor coaches or administration.. I've got allies on that staff.

I'm not surprised Charli chose UConn. The people on their board have been talking about her a long time. Apparently she has long been a prime target for Geno. I was hoping a little more for Nalyssa Smith than Charli, not for any clearcut reason, just that I am so impressed with the little bit of tape I have seen.

Same here JoeDallas. Collier is a great talent, and UConn is UConn. She'll do well in Geno's system.

Anyone know of a way to get Sedona into the 2017 class?

VERY impressive. Yet, those who have seen Sedona play, some of whom are active on this board, think her game has a way to go, and she needs a couple more years of HS.

But the coaches cannot teach what you just posted, so thanks for that!

Well I've seen her play NUMEROUS times and am VERY impressed with her game and potential. She is only a junior this year and will continue to get better. She is ranked as high as she is for good reason. ANYONE who is a junior quite OBVIOUSLY has not reached their full potential yet so not even quite sure why anyone would say something like that. This girl will be special~~~

Nice to see Nalyssa Smith in for tonight's Tech game (keep recruiting, Deja). Also saw her hugging Jamie during the post game coverage when they showed Ariel signing autographs.

I, personally, like her game and what she brings to the table. She has a skill set that is MUCH needed at Texas. I've seen her play... She's GOOD.

thanks for the link, loyallonghorn. New stuff there for me, especially about why she wears # 32. Brady's # is not worn by anyone this season.

I really liked Tatum since I saw her in a summer camp. I know we got a few PGs but I sure hope she decides to come here. Her kind of talent is unique.

It'll be interesting to see how the scholarship numbers work out. With Lolo Davenport, Shae Routt, and Sedona Prince, Texas is already at a full 15 scholarship limit. But Texas still has scholarship offers to Nalyssa Smith, whom I really like and has a similar playing style to Joyner Holmes, and Honesty Scott-Grayson.

I'm not sure your 2018 class number is right. I think there will be 5 open scholarships in 2018:
Ariel, Brooke, Tasia, Audrey-Ann and the carryover from the 2017 class (Akigbogun's).
