This whole 'fake news" thing the lefties started has blown up in their faces
It's pretty great (even if it was predictable)(which it was)

Ah, there it is. The sexist President-elect trusting his detailed explanation of his separation from his businesses to a woman. Uphauling.

CNN issues a statement saying "It was them, not us"
Just digging a deeper hole for themselves

My immediate thoughts after listening to the entire press conference.
    1. What a waste of time. Trump actually answered very few questions deferring to talk more about HRC and how great his businesses are.
    2. Conflicts of interest will dog Trump for his entire administration. Simply handing over his companies to his sons and adding a ethics advisor doesn't solve anything. He clearly stated that it's impossible for the POTUS to have conflicts of interest though. The prepared remarks from the lawyer were a defense/marketing of Trump's decision to hand over his business to his sons rather than a detailed plan of what he was doing.
    3. He still doesn't care (believe?) Russian hacking was a serious issue.
    4. When pressed to address the details, Trump is unwilling (unable?) too.
    5. The conflict with CNN during the conference though funny was embarrassing to all parties.

The statement by his attorney was very detailed
And all of the supporting documents were supplied

Then they need to stop asking compound questions
    This is their own fault

This is just the latest issue for the losers of the election, not the winners.
There will be something new soon, which will also be ignored as actual important issues to the people are addressed.

As has been pointed out many times, spying has been going on for a very long time. During the Cold War, it was extreme. By all sides. The means have changed, but not the activities themselves. I encourage you to read up on this topic since you seem to lack a foundation in it.

Supporting documents were supplied? Those same documents sitting on the table at the press conference that the reporters aren't being allowed to see?

Here is the transcript of the press conference. The entire charade relies on an "ethics adviser" as the middle-man. The lawyer claimed that POTUS Trump wouldn't know about any new deals until the press did. Can we assume that Donald will not speak with his sons while he holds office? Oh, and Trump will regain control of the company when he exits the White House.

Essentially, the "ethics adviser" (to be hired by the Trump org) is the only wall between POTUS Trump and his sons. That's a monumentally weak wall.

Because they ask compound questions he can't answer any of them?

You're missing (or purposely avoiding?) the point that this was an escalation of spying activities.

I disagree. What was done is about as much as can be done, under these circumstances.
Any established business person will face similar issues.

Lastly, it is interesting to see how you guys seek to draw such difference lines than you demanded of Hillary and her Foundation.

If they have a single important issue, then they should ask that
Instead of trying to ask 5 or 10 questions in one, as is their habit

Also, the premises built into some of these questions make them impossible to answer
Sometimes these are known as "gotcha" questions
It's an irritating press habit that should go away

It was not. And I am ignoring nothing. You are just wrong, as a factual matter
Have a look at the Cuban Missile crisis sometime

The Cuban Missile crisis almost ended life on earth
You really think an email phishing scheme that revealed John Podesta uses laughably idiotic passwords, is an escalation from the end of all life?

The Blind Trust was essentially brushed aside. The claim that it would be impossible find a competent institutional investor to take over as trustee? Evidently Trumps sons are second only to the POTUS-elect in business acumen...in the US.

HRC didn't get elected. She's a private citizen so can do whatever she pleases now.

Like she did when she wasn't a private citizen.

I agree with that. Probably impossible to find anyone to manage that business properly.

    2 points:
    1. The king of screaming for press conferences from opponents has gone 165 days without doing one himself. Clearly there are a lot of topics that the press would like to cover.
    2. The "gotcha" defense? We're back to the Sarah Palin defense for answering questions? Which question was the "gotcha" question?

Donald Trump is clearly the greatest businessman the world has ever seen with his sons coming in tied for #2.

I've stated often times that she should be investigated for that. If you so believe that wasn't right then why use that to justify Trump's actions now?

No one in history has ever given more press conferences while running than Trump.
He gave more than Hillary and all the Dems + all the other R candidates combined
No American politician has been more accessible to the press than Trump, in history. Probably no other politician in the history of the world (but I cannot be certain of that)

Not only that but he fielded all questions
Inform yourself, go back and watch the youtubes (they are still there), many of those went on and on, for over an hour.

Then go back and compare those to Obama's pressers. Not only did he not allow many, but he fielded only a limited amount of questions. Many of which were pre-approved and controlled. If Obama was not about control, he was about nothing

There is a reason the FREs do not allow compound questions (or provide an objection).

If you have a specific question about a specific fact, then be specific.
This failure is on the press corps.
    They ask bad questions

Anyone else think this is simply a "prop"? Remember, it was stated that these were sampling of all the documents that Donald Trump has signed to turn over his 500+ businesses to his sons. None of the press was allowed to look at the documents with a Trump admin standing guard over the folders.

There is no writing/markings/labels anywhere on any of these folders that is visible. Like the "Trump steaks" that were actually regular old steaks from the kitchen, is this another prop.

I don't feel they are the same and I question whether she would have divested herself from it as Trump is doing. Simple.

Hypocrisy...as if the liberals on this board thought it OK. Do you want to address being hypocritical by rightly chastising HRC then looking the other way or even defending Trump?

Everyone that had as its premise "the US election was hacked"

Trump even called out one guy for asking 5 questions in one (I dont know who it was, dont care, and am not wading back thru that stuff)

That no institutional investor exists that could understand Trump's business enough to be a trustee? I think you don't have a defense for that statement.
