    I'm sure I'm not the only person who noticed that a total of one (1) player from the Big 12 was taken in the first round. And a tceh player at that! Can there be a stronger indictment of the state of our team and conference? :deadhorse:

    I hope people are beginning to understand that there is nothing wrong with OU, Kansas State, Baylor, TCU, Tech, etc. having success on the recruiting trail, the gridiron, the NFL draft. It's not a zero sum game.

    I hope Foreman goes to the Chiefs to continue the string of UT RBs that have done well there.

    How about 3 of the first 6 picks were from Dallas, and 4 of the first 10 were from the Texas. :texasflag:

    I'd like to see foreman go in this next round. The Chiefs may need a healthy RB and so does Green Bay. I like to see him sign with the Pack!

    In comparison to the other conferences:
    SEC = 12
    B1G = 7
    PAC12 = 6
    ACC = 4
    Big 12 = 1
    MAC = 1
    AAC = 1

    Graphic and sickening. Maybe B12 doesn't even belong in the Power 5.

    Wonder if anyone else is going to defend the talent we brought in when Mack was playing for the "de facto conference championship" against Baylor.

    Does Adrian Colbert Colbert count?

    7th round to SFO

    Was an Akina recruit, but the U gets the official credit

    Kind of a fitting metaphor for the end of that era?

    Like Foreman? :smile1:

    Also, I agree that Mack Brown did not develop a single player the past three seasons. I do not think anyone can argue that he has developed any player in years.

    Anyway, it will be interesting to see how Trump recovers from the mess George W. Bush left him.

    I also wonder what Shawn Watson being gone will mean for Buechele this season.

    Sorry to crash your party easy! I'm a fan of Mack, but sometimes the truth stings. In the last 5 NFL drafts (2013-17), Mack's classes had 9 players drafted...he had 7 in 2007!

    Like that chart; it is dramatic.

    From '01 to '07, we had 12 drafted--just in the first round alone (!), and four more 2nd rounders! It's basically having 8 first rounders and 3 second rounders on the team at any given time.

    From '06 to '10, we had 28 drafted--5.5 a year. That's basically 22 future pro draftees on the team at any given time, enough to go fully one-deep on O and D.

    For the past past 5 years, we barely have 9 at a time (out of 85 scholarships) that even would get drafted at any level, and only two first rounders.

    So, you gurus, of the 85 we have right now, how many would you think will get drafted into the NFL?

    {Hint: I imagine the number would have to be between 9 (I hope!) and 22.5}

    I'm shocked that it took so long for D'onta to get drafted. No way he isn't better than a couple of those guys taken ahead of him. I think Foreman proves in his first year that he was a steal. Hook em D'onta!! :hookem2::hookem2:

    Knock on him was he can't pass block. But knowing Foreman, he just uses this to prove the doubters wrong. Heart + talent can not be held down.

    At least he went before Samaji Perine.
    With Watson and Foreman it's almost like the Texans are emulating the Cowboys with Prescott and Elliot.

    Foreman is a man driven to improve and then improve on the improvements. He has the tools and desire to be a great one. I hope he has a fantastic career.

    Agree! Any chance he leaves after this season? Hope he plays the full 4, but money talks.

    Williams is going to be the first Longhorn OL man drafted in 10 years. Let it sink in.

    Makes you realize how good Colt was has last 2 years. He did so much with an average OLine. Still one of my favorite Horns.
