I have a hard time accepting Bernie as an independent. To me there is not difference between socialist and democrats. Really outside of Joe Manchin, just vote out all the rest of those Dems out of senate so we can really make America great again. I'd say the same thing about voting out Republicans Lindsey Graham and John McCain if they were up for re-election.

It's a miracle -- Claire McCaskill is suddenly woke and thinks something should be done about illegal immigration

    Anyone want to guess why?

Anyone think she is up for re-election in 2018?

Apparently he might if Romney ran for his seat. Link. I generally like Orrin Hatch, but the guy has been in the Senate since I was 7 months old. It makes sense that he'd move on.

I think Dems will have a net loss of 2 seats in the Senate (flip NV, lose MO, MT, ND), but they'll make some serious gains in the House. Probably still won't flip it, but nationwide will get more D Congressional votes by 3-5 percent. Everything that happens between 2018 and 2020 will determine the direction of redistricting after the next census.

I would like to see Corker, Feinstein,Pocahontas, Sanders and Kaine defeated. I also would like for Manchin to go independent.

No, Ted would have won reelection regardless. But Trump's win prevented a breakup of the GOP, for now.

I wonder if Vermont will reelect Bernie if his wife is under indictment.

Ted Kennedy killed a girl, won the Senate
I was living in DC when Marion Barry was re-elected post drug conviction
    So anything is possible
It even sounds like Bernie is already setting up a Barry-type defense -- that its a conspiracy against him by political players. Dem voters eat this stuff up

    The 2018 election is important.

If the Dems were to get the majority in the House, they'd impeach Trump in a NY minute. Of course, they'd need a 2/3 vote in the Senate too.

Probably be great in regards to impeachment. Dems would blow their load on weak grounds of impeachment for obstruction or some other nonsense.

Then the Senate would be even more apt to reject it after its turned into a battle of parties and the circumstantial evidence isn't conviction worthy.

If they retake the House, the sooner they waste the impeachment card over nonsense the better. America won't tolerate multiple impeachment attempts.

But yes we certainly don't want to lose the house for other huge reasons.

Only the extremes want to see an impeachment hearing. Donald Trump will not be impeached. The best hope for the left is that he loses his reelection.

I posted some stuff on SCOTUS thread. The politics surrounding a new nominee could/should be a good issue to help get the R vote out for the midterms. Although it might also motivate the other side too, as this choice will be absolutely huge - setting the that fate of the SCOTUS for a generation

I want to see Mueller have a quiet meeting with some attorneys and provide a letter of resignation that is initialed off on by a few people.

Nixon was fine until he became a burden to the party. That could happen sooner rather than later if little fingers keeps stepping on his pee pee.

While the left are trying to divide the nation with all the phobes out there, the Right will be winning more elections. They just don't get it.

I have no faith that Kid Rock will have a clue about anything. But watching him beat Debbie Stabenow would be too good to pass up.
