    In addition to the Italy trip the entire team will take in August, Joyner and Sug will be participating in the U19 tournament in Italy from July 22-30 and Destiny is on the 4-player 3X3 team in the U18 World Cup in China from June 28 to July 2. 2018 UT target Christyn Williams is also on Destiny's squad as well as the U19 roster - Christyn will be logging a lot of frequent flyer miles with Longhorns - hopefully it gives UT a boost in her recruitment.

    I wish these FIBA games were televised or streamed.

    They usually are. Keep an eye out as the tournaments get closer:

    The USA Basketball website will usually have game times. The one drawback is the game commentary is usually in the host country language.

    Destiny hit a couple from BTA and, by my count, finished with 6 points (3pters are worth 2 in 3X3).

    To tag on DFW Horn's post, Destiny has scored 8 points over a 2 game period.

    Here are the 3x3 rules per the article;
    In accordance with FIBA 3x3 rules, each game consists of one, 10-minute period. The team leading after completion of regular playing time, or the first team to score 21 points is declared the winner. If the game ends in a tie, the first team to score two points in overtime earns the victory. Shots made outside the arc are awarded two points, shots made inside the arc are awarded one point and each made free throw is worth one point. Additionally, a 12-second shot clock is utilized.

    Great job! Christyn Williams can get up there high on her shot. Three on three is a wonderful game. For me, always more fun to play than 5 on 5.

    Ridiculous. Feed was absolute crap and then cut out for the last 2 minutes of the game so I had to stomach the terrible announcer for 8 minutes of game time and miss TeamUSA knocking out the 2-time defending champs, 18-14.

    Thanks DFW and Luther for posting this. I could never figure out how to get it. Man, do we ever have a gem in Destiny. I can see why everyone wants Christyn Williams. She is so quick and and a great shooter too. I think she and Destiny need to be on the same college team.

    "The team will return to Colorado Springs July 7 to begin training camp before departing for Italy on July 15. The U.S. will then compete July 17-19 in a four-team exhibition tournament against host Italy, Latvia and Spain before tipping off 2017 U19 World Cup play July 22 against Mali."

    If any of these 3 make the squad, they would miss the Italy trip meaning the youngsters would have to step up early:

    "The 2017 U23 Four Nations Tournament, which will include the USA, Australia, Canada and Japan, will be a round-robin tournament played Aug. 12-15 in Tokyo (arena TBA)."

    Any time Sug can spend time with and soak up knowledge from arguably the best PG in UT history is a huge bonus:

    A few USABWU19 team photos. Can't help but notice that Sug and Christyn seem to be having fun.

    Longhorns showed out in a Team USA exhibition 62-36 win against host Italy today. Sug was one of 2 Americans in double digit scoring (10 points) but also notched 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Joyner scored 8 and led all players with 9 boards.
