    This is real
She is exploring the the possibilities by making appearances this month in the early primary state of New Hampshire
If so, this might be the greatest thing ever in human history
Please do it -- Mad Max 2020

I used to think Obama and the movie Idiocracy served as models for each other
But Maxine's America would probably be even closer to the movie

Mad Max is a professional grifter. She'll know good and well she can't win. But her 'Resist 2020' campaign will siphon millions from the cult and she'll pocket a ton of it.

Would be a blast watching Trump toy at will with this vile, halfwit while Libs continue to throw millions down the gutter.

That would be the best part - it would drain them of funds for a campaign that cannot win.

Maybe she can do a Sarah Palin... build a campaign war chest for exploratory reasons ... then use it like a trust fund to pay for office expenses, travel, hotels and the like for the rest of her natural life.

Waters was named the most corrupt member of Congress in 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2011 by the group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

Trust me, she's gonna run and fleece their *ss like she's done countless times. Her solid support by the cult will further prove Libs don't care an ounce about corruption.

    2010 example:

Rep. Waters charged on three counts

    2017 example:

Maxine Waters’ Latest Scandal to the Tune of Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars

This one breaks down decades of corruption...

    Maxine Waters as Resistance Leader?

In all seriousness, I predict Libs will ultimately get behind the trifecta of social justice or the ant-white male ticket.

Kamala Harris with a Castro brother as VP

They'll seek to combine the female (first female POTUS), black, and Hispanic vote.

Not to mention Castro is from Texas and would own the pro-sanctuary crowd. With Kamala naturally carrying CA, they'd hope Castro could deliver already purple Texas.

I liked her before I got to know her. It's been downhill ever since. The clincher was when she quit her job as governor because of investigations and harassment by the press. I have zero respect for her now.

She's the Democrat's version of Michelle Bachman. If she runs she may get a short term lead but will flame out quickly due to her own mouth.

We're not really purple. If we let our illegals vote like CA, we would be purple or blue. Still pretty red, with the exception of Joe Strauss.

I'm not convinced of that if a Texas Hispanic is on the ticket.

Especially if the POTUS candidate has some appeal and isn't the devil incarnate. Harris has flaws but she won't be repulsive to independents like HRC.

I know plenty of Hispanic Reps that wouldn't care a bit. But the independents might be swayed to finally put one of their own in the WH.

Who was the rich Hispanic guy who ran for Governor against Perry in 2002 or 2006? My memory is that he got his clock cleaned pretty well, despite predictions of a close race.

Apples to oranges comparison. That example was Texan vs Texan.

Same way Cruz would roll Castro if he opposes him for Senate. It's not like Texas is overflowing with Cubans, but Cruz is the more popular Texan.

With the Texan Castro as Kamala's VP, their opponents would be two older white guys from the Northeast. Both lived over 1,000 miles away from Texas with no ties.

Harris and Castro would get curb-stomped in Texas. People vote for President, not VP. A God-hating, socialist black chick from California isn't going to carry Texas. I don't care if friggin' Davy Crockett is her running mate, and it doesn't matter that Trump and Pence aren't Texans.

In addition, she'd be an idiot to put Castro as her running mate, because he's not going to help her win any states that Hillary lost. If she has any brains, she'll pick a white dude from a Rust Belt state - Sherrod Brown or somebody of his ilk.

People have been predicting Texas going blue for 20 years, and they've cited demographics as the reason. If they were right, Democrats would at least be able to create some close calls in statewide elections. They haven't, even when they've had high-profile and well-funded candidates. At some point, people need to consider the possibility that Texas simply isn't like other states when it comes to politics.

First, Texas Hispanics aren't hardcore liberals like they are in places like California, and they aren't blind followers of identity politics. So the "vote Democratic because you're a Mexican and the GOP is Whitey's party" doesn't work in Texas the way it works in California. Furthermore, the Texas GOP has done major Hispanic outreach for the last 25 years, and they've gotten very good at it. It has become its own political infrastructure. Kamala Harris coasting in and saying, "Hey look at this Mexican boy standing next to me" isn't going to be enough to overcome it.

Second, Texas still has a large rural population that is heavily Republican. It's big enough to swing elections.

Third, Texas suburbs are still heavily Republican, and they have tons of voters. It's nice to win Dallas County, but if you're getting your *** kicked in Collin, Denton, Tarrant, Johnson, Rockwall, Wise, and Ellis Counties, Dallas isn't going to save you.

Fourth, though Texas' big cities lean blue, other than in Austin, it's not a blowout. Dallas and Houston lean blue. They're not lopsidedly blue like San Francisco or Chicago.

Texas went 52/43 Republican with one of the most reprehensible Dem candidates possible. She wasn't just a bad choice, she was a proven, career long crook.

We may detest Harris and her commie policies, but she has way more personal draw to a non-engaged independent voter than HRC.

Then we throw in the unified and re-energized black vote, which has proven to mobilize and vote race above all else when they have a candidate.

I said there are plenty of Hispanics who don't vote race. However, it's naive to think a Hispanic Texan on the ticket wouldn't draw a bigger share of the Hispanic Texan vote than HRC's ticket.

All that still wouldn't matter in Texas in 2020 with a less polarizing Rep candidate. But these new advantages would face the same controversial guy HRC lost to by 9 points.

The three counties with over 45k people (all in DFW area) you mentioned are in the midst of absorbing a North Texas invasion.

Denton and Tarrant aren't getting it in the teeth as bad, but Collin is another story.

I moved to Collin county in Feb, this area is under siege. There's a huge, steady migration of Dallas folks swarming in, enough to create the sign campaign 'Don't Dallas my Plano'.

Then there's the Toyota headquarters relocation importing many thousands of their employees to Plano.

Other big companies are due to follow as Frisco is in its infancy of blowing up with business development and there's plenty of prime land to do so.

Collin county is in the early stages of the path Travis county went down as a hotbed for relocating major companies. The H1B visa program is thriving here.

It's only a matter of time until Collin is blue and everyone here knows it.

And though you don't like to think about this because you're such a big fan, Trump was a horrible candidate as well. They both turned people off in huge numbers.

Obama did the same thing and lost Texas decisively both times.

Not even close to enough to flip the state or even make it close. If Castro was the actual nominee and ran as a moderate, then he might be able to make it a race, but he'd still lose.

9 points is not a close race.

That's pretty old news. Collin County has been getting invaded by Dallasites and out-of-staters since the '70s. It's somewhat ironic that you're arguing that Collin County is going blue because of businesses moving in. That used to be the biggest reason why it is a Republican bastion. However, if you look at the numbers, the county is still overwhelmingly red. I will concede this. If the GOP doubles down on trying to be the party of the uneducated and doesn't rediscover its intellectual roots, it will start losing Collin County. It's not redneck country.

Harris would be your official President. Hillary would be he shadow President although I don't know what if any official title Hillary might have.

I think Harris is more from the Obama clan than the Hillary clan of the Party. If she became President, I think it would be more like a third term of Obama.

The influx of non-Texan people and companies going on now in Collin county far surpasses anything in the past.

Local Republicans are so worried about the higher rate of Dems now flowing in they've started a counterbalance campaign. They're actively pitching the area to CA residents and businesses as a sanctuary for dejected CA Reps.

This article is from Feb 2017. Leaders on both sides agree the flip blue is coming. Most say it'll take at least a few decades, of course Dems say sooner.

Steady growth has local Republicans sounding the alarm over 'possible Californization' of Collin County

Conservatives are still king in Collin County — for now — but a steady influx of new residents from traditionally Democratic states has local Republicans sounding the alarm about a "possible Californization" of the area.

Local GOP leaders are issuing a call to arms to their party brethren as major corporations continue to move to the area, including Collin County, bringing with them employees who may not be intimidated by Republicans' long-held dominance at the ballot box here.

Political observers say Republicans' stranglehold on Collin County politics isn't likely to change anytime soon. But it's clear that Democrats are gaining ground as new residents arrive daily from Democratic bastions in the Northeast as well as California and elsewhere in Texas.

The GOP wall in Collin County is starting to show signs of crumbling. Some precincts, particularly those in the more urban areas of Frisco and Plano, turned purple or even blue on Election Day in 2008 and again last year.

For the first time since at least the 1990s, Democrats fielded candidates in each of the Texas House district races on the most recent Collin County ballot. And more Democrats are looking to run in future elections.

Also to consider are the many companies — including Toyota Motor Corp., MonkeySports Inc. and Jamba Juice — relocating from out of state to Collin County and bringing some of their employees with them.

But the changes, though noteworthy, won't immediately translate into a new voting paradigm in Collin County, according to Southern Methodist University political consultant Cal Jillson.

That's because even though the Democrats have made some strides, they have been on the losing side of elections in both Collin and Denton counties for more than a quarter-century. It will take more than one or two election cycles to turn the tide.

It doesn't take hearing from 'experts' to know what's going on here if you're a resident. The people talk about it often as it's all around you. It may not happen in the next decade, but it's coming without question.

And Frisco is just now starting to develop rapidly. The area is blowing up now that all the area sports teams relocated HQ's here and sports/entertainment venues are the new rave. Retail is flocking around these sites to capitalize on it.

They just built the $5 billion mile where the new Cowboys HQ (The Star) is located. $4 billion worth of business investment surrounding the $1 billion Cowboys facility.

There's a virtual *ssload of developed land for relocating companies to move to and it's about as ideal of place for relocation in Texas as it gets.

The changes go beyond simply out of state migration. The sheer volume of foreigners in Plano and Frisco was startling upon arrival. And this is coming from someone who mostly dates American women who weren't born here.

Most of the foreigners seem employed which I assume means the visa programs are big here. However, assimilation desire appears very low among them.

Frisco's population explosion might look familiar to Austin folks (on a smaller scale)...

    2000: 33,700
    2010: 117,000
    2016: 159,230
2035: 375,000 (estimate from the City of Frisco)

I was in Plano a few weeks ago for a funeral. After driving around with my dad (who has lived in Plano since 1984 after we moved from Oakland, CA) for awhile, I said, "The Dallas area is turning into Los Angeles, and Los Angeles is turning into Mogadishu."

So true. :smile1: It's odd to see how drastically things have changed after being away for a while. I lived in Irving (Valley Ranch) back in the early 2000's.

Plano was every bit a Texas suburb for those who wanted no part of big city life. Even Addison was a sanctuary for young professionals wishing to separate.

Frisco was a smaller country town in my eyes. Lots of undeveloped land, country folks, and little to do. None of that applies anymore in these towns.
