I read somewhere this morning that in the four years he has been a pro, he has won
    $28+ million.

I wonder if he needs a "go-fer". I would do his rat-killing for 1% of his winnings every
year. And I could start tomorrow. lol

Big ole hook'em to a guy who will make us say "Tiger WHO?" before very long.

Says another place that Jordan's "net worth' is $51 mil., salary (whatever that is - maybe winnings) is $28 mil, endorsements $29 mil.

    Lad's doing alright for himself!

    Hook you, Jordan!!!

I was watching the last round yesterday; certainly that bunker shot in the playoff had the WOW factor, and I jumped up and fist pumped the air too.

But what impressed me more about JS was how he played overall earlier in the round when he and his putter weren't talking, his tee shots were landing him on the margin of water hazard penalties (3 times), Berger was charging from 5 back to tie, JS just kept his head down, made some very good, very tough approach shots from those water hazard margins to put him within birdie or par range on the greens.

Those shots were more within his control than the bunker explosion, that really, with luck, goes in the hole. Of course JS seems to be getting a lot of "luck" on those shots to win tournaments, but, still the golfer is just trying to get the ball to land within a couple of feet for a follow up tap in.

But his earlier ability to settle down, not get down on himself seeing his ball a few inches from a hazard penalty, set up, swing and land the ball in a good lie on the green, time after time, will win you a lot more money than a rare Hail Mary bunker out.

Not taking away from the fun or appreciation of his bunker shot; just to admire his other play which doesn't splash as much (no pun intended) but showed why he's going to be around for a long time and win a boatload of tournaments.

    Hook 'em, Jordan

Oh, p.s., one of the funniest sports clips is one of the earlier putts he made, about a 15 footer, he thought he'd blown it, started walking towards the hole, kind of looking away, then at the last second the ball veered a bit left and rattled in --- JS stopped abruptly, smiled at the crowd like "WHAT THE EFF was THAT??!!" in kind of a shoulder shrug, humble, better to be lucky than good, aw shucks response. Crowd winner, that.

I'm just glad he didn't blow out his ACL after the chest bump.

    Is "Spieth" German for "ice"?

    If not, it should be.

Coach Herman should bring in the entire football squad before September, make them watch the final 18 holes of The Open, listen to the commentators, see Spieth shake off a nasty bit of play on one hole to miss an ace by one inch, go on to birdie, eagle, birdie, and win.

Then watch the award ceremony ---- how a Texas Longhorn should behave after showing the world that you are the best.

    Hook 'em Jordan!!

13 may be looked upon as the single greatest one-hole recovery in the history of the PGA. I think most want Jordan to be golf's new "Golden Boy", but yet there are more than a few that are in the "meltdown club". He is destined for greatness, and I truly believe that today's 13th hole will be looked back on years from now as the moment Jordan Speith defeated the chance to be a really good golfer instead of one of the games greatest.

That tee shot looked like he had me hit it for him. The recovery was beyond spectacular. :hookem2:

The guy had the wheels fall off and the car was upside down in a ditch for the first 13 holes then BAM. Birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie. Great job Jordan! Hook 'em! :hookem:

That's because he accepted the invitation last year at the 2016 Masters where he blew a 5 stroke lead on the back nine.
