Bobby Layne, Paul Campbell and Tom Landry....the 3 Longhorn QB's for 1947 (weird seeing Landry as a QB, didn't he finish as a fullback?) here is a great facebook page full of Texas Sports memories. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1449791332017265/
Texas Track Club 1964...........those do's are hardly aerodynamic wouldn't you say, but quite the norm back then.
ahh the good ole days.....used to have one (early 60's methinks) and then a later one after the addition the Cougs.
The 1964 "Texas Track Club" was based at Odessa Jr College, and featured Susan Schexschnieder (sp) from Port Arthur and Paula Walters, neither of whom is in this photo, although Susan (5'11") could the girl on the far right. The chauvinist joke always was that Paula (who was about 5'1") anchored because she could break the tape from five yards out.
recognize Nobis #60 and Phil Harris (methinks) #25...........the rest I dunno............but I was only 7 when this went down............OBTW...........OU SUX.......Hook em..
My sister got up about 2 hours early every school day to get her hair do properly elevated. Her do looked kind of like the first blond girl's. No scaffolding. Just lots and lots and lots of Aqua Net hairspray.
Ahhh, ye ole aqua net. I will never forget the smell of the daily aqua net fog from my mom doing her hair every morning.
THIS was my life as a kid....I get OLD SPICE and put a bit of it on my face just to bring back my Dad for a moment or two.... ...anyone know where to get a can of AQUA-NET???
