I don't know if we pass around game balls after a loss, but if they do then Holton Hill earned one. He was given the task of covering James Washington for most of the game one on one. Washington has lit up pretty much every team he's played. He will probably be the #1 drafted WR in the next years draft. He usually gets at least one long TD catch a game and because he's such a threat downfield that the short passes are easy yardage for him. Hill at times had help over the top, but many times he was on an island with Washington one on one. He pretty much held Washington in check outside a only a few passes. The job he did was flat out incredible. Very proud of that guy.

He and Dickson were our MVPs for that game.

Boyd probably had his best game ever as well.

I am thinking and hoping that a light came on for Boyd in this game and that he is a steady consistent force from now on. I believe he went to the next level in confidence but time will tell. I have been critical of Boyd till now but that was a delightful performance to watch.

can't blame him really but that will make me sad. On the positive side of that we are getting some good help in recruiting.

As sad is that would be, having some sort of presence on draft day again would be a good thing. Lately the only mention we get in regard to the Draft is how few Longhorns were picked and how long the dry spell has been.

He had one really good one last year too (I think K-State).

I really enjoy watching our secondary this year, my favorite has been Holton Hill followed by DeShon Elliott. Holton may be a Thorpe award winner if he sticks around long enough.

Yes, would help the DBU name. Also we have a lot of talent coming in.

yes love to watch Hager. He plays so cerebral without losing intensity and relentlessness. Why he doesn't play more is a travesty. Boy those two sacks and that pressure throw in the ground came at important times. But I guess QB sacks are not really important after all coaches know what's best. I wonder if the coaches don't like his hair. That's it.

Hager's hair, like his pee, is too yellow.

Hagar has seen plenty of time in past games. He's always been a pass-rush specialist, and has been in on those situations all season. But whereas he's sometimes been a liability against the run in the past, he stepped up and played really well last week. Hoping he keeps that up.

Here is one early mock that likes Hill and which some of you may find interesting

    19. Dallas Cowboys (4-3)

The Pick: CB Holton Hill, Texas
The Dallas Cowboys used second- and third-rounders in last year's draft to select cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis, respectively, but they still don't have a true No. 1 cornerback on the roster. Team owner Jerry Jones can change that by driving down to Austin and taking a look at Holton "Hollywood" Hill.

The 6'3", 200-pound junior cornerback has eye-popping tools and traits. Hill's arm length, toughness as a tackler and 4.5 speed might just remind you of a young Richard Sherman. On the year, Hill has two interceptions, both of which he returned for touchdowns. He also continues to impress with five passes defensed despite offenses staying away from his side of the field.

The Dallas front seven could use a few upgrades, but the Cowboys can't afford to pass on a talent like Hill.

I forget who I heard this from, but I think it was one of the coaches who told a reporter that the only juniors any NFL scouts have asked about have been Malik and Connor. Don't know how weighty that is, but it bodes well that maybe the rest (and maybe even those guys) come back?

That makes more sense. Connor needs an injury free season (not sure any NFL team will want to draft him high coming off a "non-surgery" normal surgery event). Jefferson will leave money on the table unless he is a top 10 pick.
