If there is a tear in the universe there ain't nuthin I can do about it, so I'd probably just relax and enjoy some Texas Football.
There is a good backstory with this PWO He is the great grandson of a Longhorn legend. His full name is Matt Wilson Frost. The Wilson comes from his great grandfather, Wilson Homer “Bull” Elkins, who played football for the Longhorns in the 1930s and is recognized in the Texas Sports Hall of Honor. And he goes by Frosty on twitter Hard not to like this guy
Check it out ags Preston is going to wait for his 2 HS buds to fax in their NLIs, then fax his to the (512)
Christian Jones measured 6-6 1/8 and 294 pounds on his Texas visit. He can run a 4.9 40 and is working to improve that time He had offers from Yale, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Dartmouth, Rice, Virginia, Cal and UCLA
He need to stop where he is. if he gets faster all the other OL are going to hate him when they have to run windsprints together. Or maybe he could sprint with the linebackers and tight ends?
Announcement times on NSD: 9:00 am - Andrew Parker 10:00 am - Keondre Coburn, Lawrence Keys III 10:30 am - Tommy Bush 10:45 am - Joseph Ossai
Don't tease me, Joe. That is someone who was HIGH on my wish list. ...worth a few trucks at least... Oh man...this will surely end up as a VERY serious post on TexAgs.
What are other possible new additions for OL if we miss on Anderson (whom I realize is a later-date possibility)? Are there any other possible/probable new OL we are looking at for tomorrow? I am not really seeing any...
Nahlin thinks we have legit shot at Bush But Roach thinks he sticks with Baylor ("because of the long-term relationships")
There are a couple guys noted several pages back -- one from tOSU and one from Rutgers -- but they dont graduate until May
Agree that even with Jones (now in) and Anderson (hopefully) we are still light OLs on the roster Two head coach transitions within 4 years cost us a lot of OLs. And then Wickline was not quite the OL recruiter/recognizer of OL talent we hoped he would be. It sucks and I hate it
It does suck and we all hate it... IMO the OL issues go back into the last years of MB. Missing out on recruits, coaching changes, attrition, injuries all contributed to the OL malaise. Horns have been unable to build a solid / decent 2 deep much less 3 deep roster for the OL that would foster OL cohesiveness, build some consistency and potentially keep players in the system for 5 seasons. Far too often the OL has had true frosh and RS freshmen starting / playing, throw in some injuries and you've got guys moving around far too much - we've seen what OL youth and inexperience gives you.
Updated list of both announcements and signings, still not complete - have to check to see which Coburn time is correct Moro Ojomo- 6:00pm tonight Daniel Carson-7:15am signing Moro Ojomo- 7:30am signing Keondre Coburn-8:00am Keaontay Ingram-8:30am Andrew Parker-9:00am Lawrence Keys-10:00am Tommy Bush-10:30am Joseph Ossai-10:45am Josh Moore-12:30pm Christian Jones-1:30pm signing Michael Williams-2:40pm signing Jalen Waddle-3:30pm
A note will now be placed in your permanent record -- lack of appreciation of phoning in offers from the golf course based off recruiting service rankings
Good article on Ingram with Q&A https://www.hookem.com/story/8th-an...ges-keaontay-ingram-sees-brighter-days-ahead/
Yup. Old aggy Clayton Williams reference to what to do in case of rape.... IMMEDIATELY doomed his campaign for Governor of Texas. Dumb.
^And resulted in the office of Governor going to Ann Richards - not one of the best eras in Texas history.
