NCAA is guard oriented league. We need second PG and no guards in recruiting class. Any reason?

Quinton Grimes would be great! When is he making his decision?

MSM transfer Elijah Long (sitting out redshirt transfer year) should be considered a PG in this recruiting class.

Very disappointed (not surprised, as most CB's had him to KU) we didn't get this great Houston area prospect. Wish him the best--except when ku plays the Horns.

What? My daugter goes there. Never new. Also, I hope he watches out for dead trees in the parking lot. The school admin there has it in for the students (west mall inside joke).

Louisville de-commit. I didn't realize we were on his list....Crystal Ball shows him high likelihood to Missouri.

"Kamaka Hepa, the 6-10 forward who signed with the Longhorns in October, is originally from Alaska. But not just anywhere in Alaska. He’s from Barrow, the northernmost community in America.

Put your finger on top of a globe. That’s Barrow.

“It’s different,” Hepa said. “I would describe it as an isolated, small village.”

Hepa grew up in a town where, for 65 days a year, the sun does not rise above the horizon. And for 80 days in the summer, the sun is constantly present.

As the crow flies, Barrow is 1,100 miles north of Juneau, the state capital. And it has to be measured that way — there’s no way to drive to Barrow. From anywhere. Hepa’s hometown is entirely secluded and impossible to enter or leave except by airplane.

Residents drive snowmobiles around. It’s not uncommon to see a polar bear milling about town.

But in the spring of 2016, Hepa and his family moved south to Portland, Ore.

“I thought I had to come down here to give myself the best opportunity,” Hepa said....."

Baker should be a McD's AA. Wouldn't be surprised to see us shoot up on his list with Brock in his ear too.

We might not be done with 2018 -- PG Courtney Ramey

I'd put us firmly at the bottom of that top 10. We're one of only a handful of his official visits but he's looking to start at the 1. We don't have that slot for him with Coleman there. Losing JY and probably Roach gives him a better shot at depth competition but knowing how loyal (to a fault) Shaka is to his vets, Ramey is destined for the pine year one. Not a good look for him.

My bet is he lands at Illinois. Jamaal Walker is a St. Louis guy and he and Brad Underwood have been bombarding him since before he committed to Lville. Originally I thought Missouri was a lock but they have 8 active PG's on their roster (and one incoming) jeez...

I'm starting to wonder how long we'll stay at the top of anyone's list if we don't start winning more soon. The shine wears off a new coach pretty quickly.

Courtney Ramey's final four: Louisville, Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Texas.

Not sure how we made it in but i think odds are between Louisville and Missouri. Might announce as soon as today...

    Got heeem

"Courtney Ramey said in his commitment video that Shaka Smart and his Texas staff recruited him the longest and always made him a priority. That doesn't happen without evaluating Ramey early and having a long-term recruiting plan..."

:hookem: Looks like Matt Coleman's job just got a lot tougher.

I love being wrong. I would have placed a large money bet on him going somewhere else. Gotta give it to Shaka...dude knows how to win relationships if not basketball games.
Welcome to the 40 young man! :bevo:
