Agree. But, saying that she's advocating violence is fake news, or more fittingly, lugen presse.

Waters is dead wrong but it should be pointed out that she specifically referenced the Trump cabinet, not his supporters. Trump was irate that his MS-13 "animals" quote was taken out of context. Trump is doing the same thing here. Then again, hypocrisy might be his most commonly demonstrated characteristic.

That insane the way the crowd mentality sinks in. It's a human thing - not a right or left thing. They're chanting "Health care is a human right" in response to someone who's had his life threatened. The bigger the crowd, the dumber the comments got. That seems to be how it works.

So as long as no one takes a swing, it's all good? It's OK to follow someone around wherever they go, shouting at them, calling them names and disrupting their lives? If you want to say "well, yeah but that's non-violent" I think you have a bit of an honesty problem.

"I say unto you, love your enemies. Bless those that curse you. Do good to those who spitefully use you."

I think Jesus was pretty clear that tactic of constantly bullying people with whom you disagree with is wrong and unacceptable for a Christian.

I agree which is why the Evangelical support for Trump strikes directly at their own credibility. They have so much power to control Trump as demonstrated by his reversal on child separation when they finally spoke out. Their silence in the face of his behaviour is uphauling(sic). Is selling your principles for advancement of your social agenda worth it?

Unlikely since the Red Hen Restaurant was not a church dedicated to God.

Trump really does not advance the right’s social agenda. Like Lincoln, he advances midwestern workers’ populist economic agenda (no competition with mexican immigrants, anti-free trade, pro tariffs, keeping businesses here, etc.)

The left wanted Christians to vote for secular candidates who did not care about Christian values and really are not conservative. They got it.

Trump does not work to advance the right’s social agenda. He is neutral to it. Mike Pence would advance the right’s social agenda. Would you be happier with Mike Pence?

I agree that it's fake news, but it's less fake than the claims that Sarah Palin advocated violence, which the Left claimed and the media took seriously. (She's a dolt, but she didn't advocate violence or even approach it.)

And that's some sloppy Deutsch, Barry. It's not "lugen presse." It's "Lügenpresse." Or if you're old school, "Lügenpreße." You need the umlaut over the u (or substitute with "ue" if you don't know the keyboard codes). It's one word, not two. And nouns are capitalized. You're welcome.

That's one of the biggest ironies of the Trump era. Conservatives are being led by a non-conservative who probably has way more in common with liberals from a social standpoint than he does the base that so highly values those things.

Taking me back to the days when I mediocred my way through German in high school and a year in college. Really wish I either had picked a language that I'd speak more often, or had a chance to use German more and actually become fluent.

I don't see Trump supporters trying to deny libtards the right to eat in peace.

I'm curious whether it is actually the fact that people like Sanders do the work they do and are conservative that creates the protest or if the hand-out crowd is just pissed that someone can actually afford to go out to eat and is productive with their life. The left and its victim mentality is the real problem here...they don't want real change. They just want to make life miserable for anyone and everyone that supports the current office-holder.

It definitely helps to be around it and be exposed to it. However, I think German is a tough language to learn by immersion if you're an English-speaker, because virtually everybody and everything here is bilingual. If I engage a German and start babbling to him in my sloppy-*** "restaurant German," he's not going to waste his time while I butcher his language. He'll just start speaking English to me. That's why I like going to the former East Germany and engaging with people over 40. Most of them aren't fluent in English, so it challenges my German skills, which of course, fosters my learning.

And this is why bilingual education is such stupid policy. We learn languages that we have to learn. If you can "get by" in your native language, you're not going to learn another language. Frankly, my experience in Germany makes me more sympathetic to Hispanics who live in the US for several years but don't master English. Of course, they should still learn English just as I should learn German, but it's a lot harder to do it if no one is forcing you to. We think we're doing them a favor, when we're actually screwing them.

Schumer and Pelosi came out against Waters today. Who do you support?

And please tell us your opinion of Waters as a representative.

Apparently the left is making an effort to ramp up bombings, like the early 1970s again
If you did not live through that period, it was not one or two isolated bombings, they were in the thousands
The majority of them caused property damage but there were some deaths and serious personal injury as well
This time, however, it seems clear they will not be satisfied with property damage alone

Below is a new RNC ad. I like that they are finally using the umbrella term "The Left." It's like they are finally listening, or maybe they are coming here for their ideas? "The Left" includes not just the unhinged Dem leaders, but also Antifa violence and the crazy/inhumane statements by celebrities. They should have been tying them all together like this from the outset. Their slow reaction is disappointing but at least it is something

She has also used the term "the Trump Administration", which is more inclusive. Sarah Huckabee Sanders isn't in the cabinet.

Political tensions are higher than any time since the sixties and tempers are easily ignited, as can be seen in Deez' video. Maxine is yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theater and she's going to cause somebody to get hurt.

How many separated parent/children groups has Maxine volunteered to house in her $5 million dollar LA mansion?

I think she's a pot stirrer but she was not advocating "violence". Heck, she was less across any line than our President crosses often at these self esteem filling "rallies". I don't see the House trying to censure him. Tha'ts my point. I agree with Schumer.

as a UT RTF degree holder ...

Couldn't Maxine have had a decent PA system??? I mean, that was straight from 1968 distortion. I first thought it was the open-air recording (mobile device?) ... but no, the crowd noise is clear and acceptable.

Her presentation was unacceptable in technical production AND content. She'd have been better-off with a $35 bull horn.

    Seriously Barry?

    "AND A PHOTO OP"

    IT.
    WAS.
    A.
    CAMPAIGN.
    EVENT.

He was not turned away or refused service. Although this does fall in line with the leftist idea that if I want to use your services to promote my cause, you HAVE to do it. Unless I'm an icky conservative, in which case how dare I impose my views on an innocent shopkeeper?

AND... you're talking about a staffer as opposed to someone who... wait for it... ACTUALLY MAKES POLICY.

Finally... the shop keeper did not follow him around town with a bunch of his friends and disrupt his meal at other locations.

    Try again.

You think maxine calling for "crowds' to gather around a female screaming in her face is ok? That there is nothing violent about those moves?
watch the vid of the "crowd" moving toward Sec. Chao? watch the vid of the "crowd "moving in on the AG of Fla.
I doubt even you would be ok with a crowd moving in on you and shouting in your face.

There's a big divide happening in the Democratic party. The old insiders aren't radical enough for the young guns; witness Bernie Sanders' supporter and political nobody, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, beating Joe Crowley, a 10-term congressman and potential replacement for Pelosi.

She's a card carrying socialist. Rush went so far as to call her a communist. Among other things she promised: Medicare-for-all, free public higher education and a federal jobs guarantee that would promise jobs with a $15 minimum wage as well as paid family leave and campaign finance reform.

Of course, she is much better looking than Crowley.

Oh yeah, she wants to abolish ICE. Unlimited immigration.

Has she said where she will get the money?
Are there enough people in her district who are too stupid to get it?

What are you talking about? Be specific. And then - if you're talking about the guy who blocked Biden, explain why his being excited/proud/boastful has anything whatsoever to do with the point?

The relentless Left is now going after the cake baker for refusing to bake a "gender transition cake".

The complainant is going (in his own mind anyway) from male to female and wanted a cake pink on the inside and blue on the outside to celebrate the transition. Phillips refused based on his religious beliefs.

This lawsuit was all staged well in advance. In fact they called in the cake request on 6/26/17. That was the day the SC agreed to hear the first case. The Colo. Civil Rights Commission waited for the ruling on the first case and then, a year later, issued a probable cause determination.

Alliance Defending Freedom, which won the first case, has filed suit.

Colorado is starting to rival California for nuttiest state in the union.
