They should figure out how to separate college educated from college mal-educated. The mal-educated will primarily be the liberal wackadoodles we see all over the NE and the West coast.

You may be right, but the mal-educated are a rapidly growing constituency.

    The dreaded California Exodus effect?

I will never understand why people who make the often monumental decision to leave their homes for Texas, whether other states or other countries, then vote the same dumb way they voted in the disaster they are leaving behind. It makes no sense. Why do they think they results will be different this time? Are they just stupid? Do they want to destroy their new place too? Are these the type of people who are only happy if everyone is miserable?

Transplants are part of it, but I think younger voters who got liberalism drilled into them for several years in public schools and in college are the bigger problem.

Time to repeal the 26th. The primary justification for it no longer exists, involuntary military draft
In fact, if you really want to fix the country, maybe just go all the way back to the framers original plan

While true, close only counts if the leader is well under 50%. This is actually a bad poll for Beto. My guess it will be worse after the debates and when people understand Beto’s positions. I don’t see how Beto gets better than what he has now (45%). If so, Cruz wins 57-43.

I got mobbed up and yelled at on facebook for telling an old HS friend that Beto was going to get his *** kicked. I didn't say anything negative about the guy, took no policy position, all I did was state what I view as the political reality of Texas; namely that liberal democrats do not win statewide office. None of the Beto mob wanted to hear it. Now that Beto isn't the only one with yard signs, I'm sure his high tide has already arrived.

There will be some leftists who do not care about O'Rouke's actual positions.
But how many will compare his positions on open borders, sanctuary cities, second amendment etc and realize his views aren't theirs?

Hey, maybe Beto can wear some depends and piss his pants too. That's the mark of a great Senator-to-be!

Did Wendy do that? Obviously as a paraplegic, Abbott would likely wet his pants if he didn't wear a catheter and bag.

Yes, Wendy wore adult diapers while she was grandstanding. She got applauded for her bravery and nerve, too.

I am tempted to create a post-election sign reminding them to properly dispose of their Beto yard signs. I think they hate picking up their signs just as much as they love sticking them out there

I like the optimism, and I actually do think you may be right. Someone yesterday described Beto as essentially Barak Obama 2.0, and in that context, it makes sense that a lot of moderates are going to see the way he's marketed and say "yeah, I like that guy, and Ted Cruz is kind of pompous, so it's time for a change." But moderate in Texas is very different from moderate in NYC - I suspect Beto's probably not going to win over people with his positions on the issues, and he likely already has most of the people that are going to side with him because he's a rad dude (or whatever), so it's very possible he's topped out.

Yea I can see the Obama comparisons. Hopefully undecideds will make an attempt to see how O'rouke stands on policies
I went to his web site to learn.
    Some things should concern people.

"It means that immigrants are seen as a critical source of strength and security in our communities – that beyond stopping walls and raids, we take the lead in writing immigration policy that matches our values and interests."

    on Agriculture
"Ensure farmers don’t have to face unnecessary labor shortfalls that undermine productivity. Immigration reform can help address these issues by more effectively linking migrant laborers with farmers and by protecting undocumented workers. We should treat these individuals with dignity and respect because they are a critical component of our agriculture communities."
    ??
Hey Beto read up on H2A which allows UNLIMITED numbers of workers in and we know who they are.

"Avoid unnecessary trade wars and ensure foreign markets are open to U.S. agriculture exports. "
Avoid?? So we should not try to make sure the agreements are fair.Because if you work to make sure things are fair to America you could have trade wars.

But basically it looks like a pretty basic campaign site. All that is missing is the promise for all day recess.

The Florida Primary Election is Aug 28 --

Nearly 1.4 million Floridians have already voted in next Tuesday's primary.

The latest figures show turnout is at 10.6 percent with six full days of voting to go. (Turnout for the last mid-term primary in 2014 was 17.6 percent).

Republicans have strong leads over Democrats in both voting by mail and in early voting. Statewide, Republicans account for 47 percent of all votes, and Democrats 42 percent...."

Turnout nears 1.4 million; GOP widens lead in early voting

So it appears Beto wanted to steal Ted's best line by getting this out in the open prior to the debate. It is highly unusual for a Dem politician to be so honest and upfront about their true aims. How do we explain this anomaly? Drugs?

Robert Francis signed on with two other Dems running for state office (Lupe Valdez/Veronica Escobar) seeking to decriminalize "unauthorized border crossings." He wrote the article for the HuffPo which I guess demonstrates he is still desperately trolling for NY/Hollywood money. Otherwise, it is the sort of thing for an in-state newspaper

Beto is going to have to explain that better.
And he does want to do away with the border and the raids. Heck just let everyone in.
BTW all the whiners say the illegals get here penniless. How did they pay the smugglers?

If you decriminalize "unauthorized border crossings" then it is Open Borders, not matter what else you call it.

Is the democrat platform for mid terms the following?

    Open borders
    Repeal Trump tax cuts
    Repeal the 2nd amendment
    Impeach Trump
    Abolish ICE
    Anti Police

If so, I see the republicans holding both houses.

Given some of the posters on this board, one might question the arrogance of assuming conservatives have a monopoly on educated ideas. Maleducated...teehee.
