Are y'all just guessing, or have some inside info? Just making wild guesses, I'd say Endyia 70% (based on geography), Rickea and Zia 40%. Feeling optimistic this morning.

Definitely a guess on my part but I think Endyia is more like 90%. I am not to high on Rikea and Zia so I stick with my 20% guess. The Australian girl may have a decent chance of coming as well.

Have to wonder if it would be either Cooke or Rogers with an increase of Jackson coming if Cooke is also? I like Rogers better than Cooke as far as at PG. I would like to see Jackson come here as well but agree that Celeste and either Jackson/Shelley would be a nice class for 2019.
EDIT: I meant to say Celeste and Rogers plus either Jackson/Shelley would be a nice class for 2019.

After watching her with Team USA this summer, I think any team makes room for Zia if possible. While she had her share of unforced turnovers trying some risky stuff, she had as many or more ‘wow’ plays in limited minutes as any player in the tournament. She is incredibly difficult to guard with the ball in her hands and, with a bit more efficiency, would be a nightmare for opposing teams and a playmaker for her teammates.

I’m not going to get my hopes up for out of state players but I think a frontcourt of Charli, Sedona and Rickea would be a sight to see.

While I agree with you about Zia, Endyia just blew up over the summer on the AAU circuit. A late blossom I guess you could say. If I were Texas, I'd take her over Zia if she wants to commit first.

Will be interested to see if this has an effect on Endyia visiting USC:

I haven't seen any tape of Endyia. I hear she's great. But I have seen tape of Zia and she looks pretty fantastic. Either would be a great get.

Getting down to the end of the OVs for most of the players Texas is looking at. About six weeks to the early signing period.

Mississippi State hosting Rickea, Zia and Endyia this weekend. I'm interested in hearing the sales pitch to Zia and Endyia on how they will utilize each of them if they both sign with Miss State.
As @Moooooo has previously mentioned, it's an increased level of difficulty when a staff hosts two recruits who play the same position on the same visit.

How about THREE players who play the same position? Matharu is also a PG. Although she is the lowest ranked PG of the three.

Not to mention the 2 players listed as pgs who already committed to Mississippi St for 2019: Kennedy Tucker, 5-8 g from Arkansas, Prospects Nation #45, Hoopgurlz #68; and JaMya Young, 5’7” from Louisiana, Prospects Nation #60, Hoopgurlz #88. Coach Schaefer must be a true believer in the saying "You can't have too many good guards. !"

I am more curious of when Cooke will make her decision.
Horston is announcing her school choice on Wednesday. Wonder if that will have an impact on when Cooke announces?

From the quotes I have read from Horston, she is a shoe-in for UConn. I have no idea how to estimate our chances for Zia or Rickea. I think Zia would get lots of playing time here from early on. Wouldn't Patterson be our only other bona fide point guard next year? From what I read about Rickea, she would also gets lots of PT here. We so badly need a wing-type player who is 6'2".

Sug is just a junior this year so Sug and Chaz would be in front of Zia as a freshman.

Of course. I don't know why I was thinking of Sug as a senior.

Based on retweets by scouting services, commitment activity has certainly picked up. Most of them in the past 24 hours have been to mid-majors but with only 6 weeks until the early signing period (11/14-11/21), I’m hoping the picture for the Longhorns’ 2019 class becomes clearer quickly.

So, Jordan Horston has committed to Tennessee in somewhat of a surprise.
To me, that means Cooke and Jackson are most likely headed to Knoxville, too.

Wow! That surprises me. I've not been visiting other message boards, was Tennessee considered the favorite? If Tennessee gets Cooke and Jackson (along with their previous recruiting classes) they are automatically in the national championship discussions for 2019 forward.
What's the reaction on the Boneyard? If UConn doesn't land Haley Jones, I'm sure they will be very disappointed with not getting Horston or Jones.

big surprise to me about Horston. I thought for sure she was going to UConn. Lady Vol fans must be ecstatic.

I still think we got a shot at Jackson but do wonder if the trio planned to go to the same school all along. IIRC, the rumors initially were that Horston and Cooke wanted to attend the same school with no mention about Jackson.

    And it begins! :lmao:
According to some UConn fans, they knew all along that Horston was not a "UConn" type player.

Very predictable. I’m sure they’re also criticizing Horston for deciding to play for a coach that they feel is incompetent. Or maybe Geno will have one of the reporters that covers the team basically lie about not offering Horston like they did when Samantha Brunelle chose Notre Dame over UCONN.

UConn did not show interest or offer Horston until very late in the game (like March 2018) compared to her other finalists. She probably had formed much better relationships with the staffs of other programs, like Tennessee. And, she had taken earlier unofficial visit(s) to Tennessee, as did Rickea.

While I'm sure Horston felt that she had to listen when UConn came calling, sometimes being late to the party has its consequences.

I've seen Horston listed as a point guard and combo guard; and, I believe Zia Cooke is more of a true point guard. So, we'll see if there is any conflict there.

I think we offer Rickea the best shot at playing time at SF next season. I think Tennessee has Renina Davis in that SF starting spot for the upcoming season, and two more after that.

But, in the end, players have to feel comfortable with the school they choose. If Cooke and Jackson want to play together, and with Horston, then the writing is on the wall. It does seem likely that Cooke and Jackson will stick together based on taking all their visits together.

Suddenly Tennessee's stock has gone very high in the recruiting game, despite how much bad mouthing Holly gets on the UConn board. I hope Rickea and Zia do not go there. Tennessee is getting enough riches as it is. I am still shocked Horston didn't go to UConn given the comments she has made about them. Maybe those three players do want to be recruited as a trio, but I have rarely if ever seen that before. We'll see.

IF Jackson comes to Texas, it will be interesting to see what positions Celeste and she play as I believe that Celeste is also quite capable of playing the SF position. I wonder if Rickea is more of a PF than a SF.

You have to look closely at what is or has happened I too was hearing Horston to Uconn but with the addition of Aubrey Griffin it would seem like Horston was not as good a fit any longer. Nobody I spoke to thought she would end up at Tennessee I thought if it weren’t Uconn it would be Ohio State shows you how much I know. As far as Cooke and Jackson Tennessee is as bad a fit as it gets for them it’s like purposely driving into a traffic jam Tennessee has an overflow of kids playing the exact positions both girls play. I would have to think whoever is advising these young ladies has pointed that out. Ohio State I feel would be a threat to land both of the girls. Horston is such a big and versatile talent she could fit on any team and play any position. With all that said I think Texas will land if not both then one of the two between Cooke and Jackson
